Honestly, I hope he’s closeted (cause if he IS then he’s obviously closeted–or at least bi-closeted). They already did the whole thing with Tristan crushing on Maya’s future bf. I’d much rather it be Maya and the new girl crushing on Tristan’s future bf this time, much more interesting.

…Why does it seem like everyone always wants a character to be gay. I’ve lost count of how many characters have at some point been speculated to be gay, closeted, bi, or anything of the sort.

to @III I know, I don’t want to be one of those annoying people looking for gay character in every corner but I was just analyzing what I saw in that promo. But we all know how misleading those promos can be. I mean we are going to need someone to be in a relationship with Tristan since his promo says that he’s in love with someone. Could be just some recurring character. Oh well, I guess we’ll see in July.

So basically, everyone is a naked slut this season. Wow. Looks like it’ll be interesting. And I’m okay with the summer episodes focusing on relationships since Summer tends to be majorly about relationships in real life. At least it is where I’m from. So…this’ll be interesting. Especially the whole Maya/Miles/Tristan/Zoe square that’s going down. And Alli’s make out sesh was steamy.

I want a review of the twelfth season too!! Season 12 has been fantastic in my opinion. Not quite has great as Season 3 (my all-time favourite) but close. Season 13 has big shoes to fill. If they keep very dark and dramatic storyline, it should work. Fun and simple relationship storylines are ok, but Degrassi always seem to be better when it goes all dark and twisty.

^ agreed. season 12 was one of the best seasons in the history of the show. jenna’s baptism, alli’s fast racking stress, clare’s sexual harassment, drew’s concussion, katie gone crazy, cam’s mental breakdown and suicide, imogen’s dad’s dementia, eli’s MDMA phase everything was just perfect. it really went there this past year and I’m really worried that season 13 won’t. the promos make it look like a sex crazed relationship show filled with love octagons and that is NOT degrassi. they better bring the issues this year

I just wanted to point this out. Does it seem like the writers are only going to be focusing on 11 characters out of the 16 they have this summer? I have noticed that Jenna, Connor, Zig, Eli and Dallas have gotten hardly any features, if any at all, in the promos. Meanwhile, Clare, Maya, Zoe, Winston, Miles, Tristan, Becky, Adam, Drew, Imogen and Alli have all been pretty heavily featured in the promos.
I’m not opposed to this as much, since the first season of TNG featured only 11 characters as students, excluding Mr. Simpson and Principal Raditch, (Emma, Manny, JT, Toby, Spinner, Jimmy, Terri, Liberty, Paige, Ashley and Sean). I feel like it won’t be as crowded. Especially speaking that Maya, Tristan, Zoe, Miles, Alli and Winston will be in Paris while Drew, Imogen and Adam will be at Degrassi for the summer camp. And Becky will be in Florida and Clare will most likely remain back in Toronto due to her illness.
So, there seems to be a good chance for everyone to have an opportunity to shine in these 8 summer episodes. I’m assuming they’ll feature Jenna, Connor, Eli, Dallas and Zig less. Jenna and Connor will probably play less featured roles in Paris since we know they will be there with Alli and the others. Obviously, Eli is doing the film thing mentioned in TTOML. Dallas will most likely be in Toronto with Adam and Drew. Zig is the only mystery here. Since he comes from a poor family my assumption is that he couldn’t afford a trip to Paris and he’ll probably have some involvement in the summer camp at Degrassi.
Sorry for the novel. Lol. I’m pretty excited for this season. It gives all of the characters a chance to develop outside of the inclosed Degrassi space. It feels like a re-branding of the series, but like it still contains the old Degrassi magic.

I’ve noticed that they didn’t get selfie promos like the other 11 characters. Jenna, Connor n Eli are shown in promos though. The only ppl not shown at all are Dallas n Zig

I think Jenna, Connor, Zig, Eli and Dallas are mostly going to be support characters, at least for the summer block. But Zig does seem MIA from these promos.

I’m not sure how I feel about the potential Becky/Adam/Imogen triangle. It will be a little odd since Adam and Imogen are Fiona’s exes. But I kind of liked Imogen when she had a little crazy bad girl to her in Now or Never. It would be fun to see that again.

Having Sex. this show is horrible, teenNick is trying to turn into MTV. All of you might aswell watch MTV if your looking to be more brain washed, I’m surprised parents would even let their child watch this.

Im sorry to say this but Degrassi deals with issues that real teens go through in High School. If you dont want your siblings to know how the real world is out there then I suggest you make them watch PBS KIDS ARTHUR, that’s an unrealistic show of what kids go through and how they deal with certain stuff. So complain somewhere else, because Degrassi is forever ;)

Degrassi is supposed to be relatable! It focuses on what really happens to teens in high school! It isn’t always happy and wonderful but its real!

Heh Still Zig Haven’t Showed Up Yet, I Wonder Why? EVEN DALLAS Showed In At Least ONE Part But Still DIdn’t See Zig Yet. And For The Tori Fans, The Actress Who Plays Tori Isn’t Off The Show YET. They Said They Will Probably Bring Her Back Next Season Since She Was Never Actually Confirmed Off The Show.
