I predict that Winson will have a large fan base. He’s got the looks, the Asian nerdy style and attitude (which may seem to be a stereotype but I do know some Asians like him), and the Korean-ness going on for him (since some people might associate him with K-Pop culture lol).
Miles, though, seems like a Declan 2.0 with how his backstory as of now seems to be based on his affluence. He’s slightly different from Declan since Miles seems to have more connections to celebrities (since in one of the Season 13 promos, he is on the backstage of a concert).
I never thought that it could be imo’s dad but reading that comment makes me wonder. I think that it could be Tori because I don’t know how they are going ti write her off. I wonder if they will show dave. Does anyone realize how they never mentioned how jacinta was doing after getting hit by that car or by updating us if clare is suing asher. Just saying.
In Tristan’s character bio on TeenNick it said Tori moved. Plus The funeral has, Eli, Jonnor, Becky, Bianca, Tristan, Maya, Alli, Drew, Dallas and Mr & Mrs Torres. The only people who were not there was Adam, Imogen & Clare. So I doubt it would be Imogen’s dad. I also doubt that this is a dream. I don’t think they would spend this type of money to go on location for a dream. I know many fans think it maybe Clare but I doubt that too there was no sight of her parents or Jake.
I highly doubt they will kill off a main-main character like Clare. That’s too soon for a death of a main character (i.e. Cam) It has too someone close to all of them…someone that we barely know or have any connection with

In all fairness, I wasn’t complaining about the new characters themselves. I look forward to seeing them and what they’ll bring to the show, but I just thought that Degrassi’s promos for them were underwhelming.
The only thing I was getting at with Maya was that I just figured that the writers would be taking her character down a different path considering the momentous events/tragedies she went through in Season 12, especially at its end. Keeping in mind that she was at an emotional collapse at the end of the season/school year, I kind of assumed they would portray her either coming full circle on Cam’s suicide and accepting it or still grieving since the summer block will be during summer vacation from school in the Degrassi universe.
I am actually looking forward to Drew and Clare’s storylines this upcoming season the most to be honest. I understand what you are talking about though.

Dear God, please let Drew & Clare get together at some point this season. Eli will be away in NYU, & Eclare is way too fantasy fan fiction for me now. & I’m sure there’s at least one person that agrees with me! It’s nauseating for me to watch eclare now. & that’s mainly because of the obnoxious fan base that hates clare if she’s not with Eli or anyone who dates clare for that matter. I really & truly never really found Eclare to be all that appealing. Semma had way more build up & for that reason, I would say they were the ultimate ship. I think Eclare is endgame and it should stay that way, not because I’m an Eclare fan but because logical writing dictates that it makes zero sense for them to end up breaking up in the brief summer block that Eli will even be present. I’d rather see Clare single. Seriously, the number of guys who have been interested in her is unrealistic (I’m mostly talking about personality, for the record). Plus, she’s never been single for an entire season. It’s clear that they’re pandering to the EClare fanbase, though (seriously, their upcoming storyline sounds like a bad fanfiction), so they probably won’t break them up. Then again, nobody predicted Spemma, LOL.
As much fun as s9 Dave was, he did have a tendency to be a little cocky and obnoxious sometimes (but was still likeable nonetheless). Winston seems like he’ll be a little more self-aware and self-deprecating than Dave, which sounds awesome.

Hell, they even turned cam’s death into a plot for eclare which inevitably led to them having sex. They could’ve just not broken up but of course the writers broke them up. Why? Because it created more hype for Eli & Clare’s prom night & their first time. That finale was SO unrealistic. A carriage, prom king & queen, AND a hotel room…? No other couples on the show had that!!! Not even Emma. You cannot sit here & tell me that the writers don’t favor eclare. & for that reason, you may be right. Eclare may possibly be endgame, but not before they hog up some more screen time from other characters & have more pointless & break ups to keep eclare fans waiting for when they obviously get back together AGAIN. What baffles me Munro is going to be 23 pretty soon.. If he keeps staying on this show he might get typecast or may have a harder time getting his foot in that door. By the time Aislinn leaves Munro will be 25. I think your right I bet Eli & Clare maybe done. There’s potential in many storylines and I still trust the Degrassi writers after the amazing season 12 that they gave us. I’m just hoping that those promos are Teenick’s fault and have nothing to do with Epitome.
If we take the pictures taken for season 13 seriously and according to the Degrassi Wiki, the cast as now been reduced to 16 students. How long has it been since the cast has been this small? I’m quite interested…
I thought the photos only represent the prominent characters of the 8 “Summertime” episodes.
However… I wouldn’t have a problem if they downsized the cast. It might give room for better individual development. Seasons 1-6 didn’t have that large a cast and while screentime wasn’t distributed evenly it worked alot better than having some characters with potential underdeveloped.
Winston looks like he might be the latest male nerdy character. Therefore, I wouldn’t count on him getting tons of screentime, going by this show’s history. Clare and Maya are the only nerdy characters the writers care about and that’s only because they’re the new Emma types.
Related to the above, is Maya STILL acting out because of Cam? I know I’m beating a long dead horse, but where the hell were these writers back in Seasons 6 and 7?
As much as I love Clare she will be a basket case. Eli is not here and I know she doesn’t want him to drop out of NYU to take care of her if she does have some kind of blood cancer. During S11 Now and Never, the sexual harassment and Cam’s death. This type communication problem can tear up relationship.
Well one vid shows Clare on the phone asking someone to come home. I’m almost certain it’ll be Eli. Which to me means either she didn’t find out what the lump was for the entire summer (idiot) and just found out during the school year and wants him to come back OR she found out during the summer, told him to still go to NYU, and is now freaking out so much she needs him back. I REALLY doubt Eli would still go if he knew Clare was very sick. Should be interest to see how Eli copes.

I REALLY doubt Eli would still go if he knew Clare was very sick. Should be interest to see how Eli copes.
So Miles is a bad boy? And he likes a good girl? OK so I see him stealing Becky away from Adam. I have no idea why Adam says Becky doesn’t trust him; I’m assuming it would be very difficult for him to cheat as a trans guy.
Imogen is gonna date a guy. Or try to. She says he has a gf so I don’t think it’ll be Miles. Maybe Winston? IDK because everyone says they think Winston and Tristan will be together and I kind of agree but Imogen was originally very weird and Winston is pretty awkward in his promo. I don’t get the feeling he’d have a gf tho if he is awkward so Imogen wouldn’t have to steal him…
I completely forgot about the funeral! Yeah I’d like to say it’s probably Clare but wouldn’t it be kinda early to be filming that already? I also thought maybe Imogen’s dad but idk why that would be a big thing on the show… so I doubt it. I’m gonna be so upset if they kill Clare- poor Eli already had to find Cam dead he really doesn’t need this.
