This info has worked its way into the fandom way earlier than anticipated, so here goes:
There’s been a lot of anticipation/confusion in recent weeks given the news of Degrassi premiering a summer block on a day that isn’t a Monday, as well as the heavy speculation that there will be no telenovela this summer. Given the updated news today, I’m not sure how much more blunt the networks can be without actually saying “Sorry kids, no telenovela this year.”

MuchMusic’s #1 hit show kicks off it’s season premiere with back-to-back episodes Thursday July 11 9p + 9:30p ET.

As of now, it looks like Degrassi (the #1 Canadian show on MuchMusic and MuchMusic.com, as well as TeenNick’s #1 show overall) will shift to Thursday nights at 9pm for the summer block.

With that schedule it means the summer block would consist of eight 30-minute episodes. Here’s what that summer schedule looks like:
Friday 6/21, 9pm – The Time of My Life (1-hour special)
Thursday 7/11, 9pm – Summertime (1-hour premiere)
Thursday 7/18, 9pm – Ep 1303
Thursday 7/25, 9pm – Ep 1304
Thursday 8/1, 9pm – Ep 1305
Thursday 8/8, 9pm – Ep 1306
Thursday 8/15, 9pm – Ep 1307
Thursday 8/22, 9pm – Ep 1308 (summer block finale)
This info all comes from Much, so it’s still unclear if TeenNick will follow suit (Remember, TeenNick spent the spring branding a Friday lineup of Degrassi at 9pm, and TeenNick Top 10 at 10pm).
NOTE: Epitome says they can’t discuss season 13 details until the networks make an official announcement (so harassing the Stohn about this info will do you no good). Public confirmation of the season 13 info by the networks is set to happen right after TTOML airs in June:

Wouldnt they have a hiatus in filming if we will have a hiatus in the show? Like if you think after 1308 we will have a hiatus, then wouldnt the cast stop filming there, and wait to film the rest of the episodes later on? Because I know they are starting 1313 this week.

The network hiatus and Epitome’s hiatus are two separate things. Degrassi films all of their episodes from Spring until November and they take breaks here and there, but their big mid-filming hiatus usually takes place in the summer when the cast takes their Me to We trip.

As far as I know there will still be 40some episodes in this season so if your predicted summer schedule is correct I wonder how the rest of the season would be scheduled to fit the rest of the episodes in. The only 2 possible schedules I came up with are:
1) They only take a few weeks hiatus during the season and air new episodes once a week for almost an entire year (probably unlikely though).
2) The fall and/or spring blocks has/have the telenovela format.

I agree, those have to pretty much be the only two possibilities out there. If that is truly Degrassi’s Summer Block schedule, I would think that it would almost HAVE to mean that the Fall Block or the Spring Block would have the telenovela format to cram in a large amount of episodes to keep up with the 40-45 episode average that they’ve kept to over the last few years.

Here’s what I’m hoping they do.
1st Part: 8 Episodes in a weekly format. (July-August)
2nd Part: 10 Episodes in a weekly format. (October-December)
3rd Part: 22 Episodes in a weekly format. (January-May, and 1 or 2 episodes could be 1 hour. January 9, 2014 Ep. 19 & 20 could air and then Ep. 40 could air on May 29, 2014. Airing in 21 weeks, but with 22 episodes. OR 19 could air that day and 39 and 40 could be May 29, 2014.)
OR
2nd Part: 8 Episodes in a Weekly Format. (October-November)
3rd Part: 24 Episodes in Telenova Format. (March-April, Airing in 6 weeks and 4 episode per week)
This is only if they will still have 40 episodes (according to some sources they said Stephen said 40 at some point.. but whatev’s)

you have it all wrong on your little poster Kary, Even Stephen stohn said its a Season Finale of Degrassi is on June 21, Season Finale of Season 12, is in June with a Summer premiere of Degrassi Season 13 in July.. with Mid-season finale in august or September. Your Poster information is wrong, I Have asked Stephen when Degrassi Season 12 finale is and he said on June 21. with the season 13 premeiring in July.

What are you talking about? The poster above says the season 12 finale is on June 21st and the season 13 premiere is on July 11th, with the summer block finale on August 22nd.
