I’m staring to get annoyed with Degrassi. Karma Police 1 and 2 were so useless and this episode still isn’t about Eclare! If Eli is actually graduating at not on the show anymore I’m going to be soo freaking pissed. Also If Drew becomes president Degrassi will go down. He is seriously dumb

Drew may not be the most book smart character in the series, but he does have a great amount of charisma and is very apt in social settings. The title of Class President would be, imo, a great opportunity for him because he has a decent amount of insight into the wants and needs of the student body and could possibly contribute ideas seen from his and Adam’s old school that would better Degrassi’s reputation; not to mention that his mother’s also on the PTA, and it’d be a great chance to see some good come from Drew standing up to their sometimes overbearing force, or working together for a cause.
I could see Clare being elected, but then I can’t at the same time. In either case, I’m sure they’re going to be both Prez and VP for the next school year, so it’s going to be very interesting seeing them work together.
(Oh, it’s also been mentioned by the cast and crew Eli’s graduating, so no worries there)
I agree with either one or the other being President and VP, and seeing them interact in the next season after not interacting at all would be very interesting to see!
The main plot is going to be Drew running against Clare for class president? I would have thought that the plot would be Eli finishing his zombie short film. If this were a plot involving two characters that were close I would say it’s a bust…we saw how that happened in the Season 11 episode “Don’t Panic.” But the fact that the election is between two characters who have hardly spoken to each other during their time on Degrassi is compelling. Hopefully the episode gives us insight into Drew’s responsibility which for me COULD be either hit or miss. Still, the fact that Clare won’t let Drew’s arrogance take over is what keeps me interested in this episode. Drew’s had some character development thanks to the demise of Drianca’s wedding so I’m hoping we get the same with this episode.
I agree with everyone in that no one at the moment can make assumptions of “the better candidate” with the promos, it’s something we’d have to wait and see when the episode airs. Drew has grown and has had his moments of maturity but then again his reason for Clare running because “she got dumped” is very immature. Clare has been seen with her ups and downs as well, but telling another person they’re not “smart enough” for a job/position is still immature. I can’t wait until this episode airs I’m very interested. :)
Oh and I forgot to mention that I’m glad how Degrassi has been portraying the coping of different characters after Cam’s suicide. Like how first we got Eli, the Zig and now we get to look at Maya. It’s a type of continuity that flows, which I like :)
Ha, to preview this episode I’ll have to watch the DJH Episode “Kiss Me Steph” as well as “Family Politics” “King of Pain” and “Breakaway” to see where this falls in terms of election episodes
Clare just flat out saying that drew is stupid is really rude but in all honesty he isn’t smart enough to do it. Sav wasn’t dumb but he had Holly J to help and Drew insulting Clare who might end up as his VP if he does win is really dumb.
Drew is a goof I hate Claire to but hope she wins,any money says maya may end up preggo or raped like Paige, doubt it though,hope Eli’s movie is the bomb,I don’t feel sorry for zig, zigs friend though I hope becomes a regular,he seems like trouble,can’t wait for moe marrisol and Katie to graduate boringest characters don’t even care if Katie banged that guy in Las Vegas she sucks so bad
It’s Clare. I have this little pet peeve about fans that spell character’s name wrong especially with Clare since she’s been on Degrassi for several seasons.
