I’m not sure yet if this is going to be something TeenNick plans on promoting, but it looks like they’re having a Degrassi Season 10 marathon starting Monday, December 12th, and it could possibly last through Christmas.

This isn’t one of those all-day or all-night marathons: it’ll be 2 hours a night from 9pm-11pm EST (aka it’s during TeenNick’s primetime slots).  I don’t know if it’s just covering The Boiling Point or all of Season 10, but here’s what the schedule is looking like so far:

Monday 12/12
9pm-11pm: The Heat Is On (Degrassi Takes Manhattan)

Tuesday 12/13
9pm: What A Girl Wants Pt. 1
9:30pm: What A Girl Wants Pt. 2
10pm: Breakaway Pt. 1
10:30pm: Breakaway Pt. 2

Wednesday 12/14
9pm: Breakaway Pt. 2 (yes, they’re replaying it again)
9:30pm: 99 Problems Pt. 1
10pm: 99 Problems Pt. 2
10:30pm: Better Off Alone Pt. 1

Thursday 12/15
9pm: Better Off Alone Pt. 1 (another replay)
9:30pm: Better Off Alone Pt. 2
10pm: I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself Pt. 1
10:30pm: I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself Pt. 2

Friday 12/16
NO EPISODES (TeenNick is airing a movie instead)

Saturday 12/17
9pm: Try Honesty Pt. 1
9:30pm: Try Honesty Pt. 2

Random question Kary, would you say you liked The Boiling Point or Now or Never Better? Thanks in advance for your response and hard work on the site!

– Goin’ Down The Road

Now Or Never had a couple of killer storylines…aka the gang plot and Kenna’s baby…but those are the only things that stand out in my mind when thinking about it.  The Boiling Point was better as a whole, which is why you should watch the marathon if you get the chance.

Awww I wanted a seasons 1-10 marathon… There’s nothing better than to snuggle up on a winter day and watch 24 hours of degrassi.

  2. Oh, this was when I could still tolerate Clare. Maybe I should rewatch just in case we get a glimpse into a non-Cake/Eclare Clare during S11.5.

    Ha!!

Who am I kidding? As far as I can tell, Clare has been ruined as a viable character now that she is all about either Jake or Eli, depending on the episode.

  3. I’ll never understand why they chose such a lame title for the Manhattan episode. “The Heat Is On”? What does that have to do with the plot?

BTW, I also favor The Boiling Point, mainly because of the Adam storyline.

    1. The Heat is on= Aired right before The Boiling Point

      Heat= Rise in temperature

      Rise in temperature= Boiling.

It’s not that far of a leap in logic. Though I’m not disagreeing that it is a lame title.

  4. I think whenever Teennick gets involved and tries to come up with a cool title, they fail… See The Heat Is On. I actually think the names for the movies they used when the parts are aired as individual episodes are very good… Paradise City: Degrassi Goes Hollywood and The Rest of My Life: Degrassi Takes Manhattan.

  5. Was it TeenNick who came up the taglines “Now or Never”, “In Too Deep”, etc?

    1. Yeah, I don’t think MuchMusic makes up taglines or names for blocks of episodes

  6. I personally liked Now or Never more than The Boiling Point, Now or Never felt more intense and there were less episodes that I was like “ehh” about.

Like when I think about Now or Never, I think, “Yeah, Spring Fever was amazing, Cry Me a River was good, Paper Planes was amazing, Lose Yourself was drop-dead, jaw-dropping, jndg;oiasn’jenf-amazing (I’m probably the only one with that opinion but Lose Yourself was potentially one of the best episodes of Now or Never IMO), Dead and Gone was intense, the whole gang storyline was awesome, Kenna storyline was awesome, Anya storyline was awesome (which I seem to be the only person with that opinion)”, etc.

When I think of The Boiling Point, there weren’t really any episodes that stood out as amazing, they were definitely good storylines but I’m more in favor of a good well-rounded episode than one story being awesome and the other two killing it (perfect example, week 1 of TBP, B & C plot of WAGW, C plot of Breakaway).

    Just my personal opinion.

  7. I’m glad Kary agrees with the Boiling Point > Now or Never. Now or Never was forgettable outside the really big plots. I can remember way more about the Boiling Point even the laughable C plots XD
The Boiling Point did good at giving everyone some decent material to keep everyone on equal playing field instead of taking preference to certain characters *cough* for example Drew’s gang plot *cough*

  8. Actually it was Stephen Stohn who came up with the tag lines for “The Boiling Point”, “In Too Deep”, and “Now or Never”

  10. I love Eli but I really never cared for Miss Clarebear. I really like to see Imogen and Eli date and I think they will but knowing Clare she will muck it up with her family drama.

I hope that secret you have has to with the websodes.
