I briefly posted the HQ pics last Friday night during the premiere, but I don’t know if anyone actually got to see them. The first nine pics are the HQ ones…the rest are from TeenNick. Click on each image to see a larger version.
The plot that intrigues me the most is Ziley. For now I’m skeptical about Bianca and Drew, and there’s not much info about Alli in this episode. The latter’s actually kind of a good thing, we don’t need to know everything about everything right?

^ I think something bad actually has to happen to her in this episode first. If you don’t remember, she was the one who iniated the switch in the first place. Obviously she goes back to Degrassi, but she’s not just gonna come crawling back over any random situation.

According to the episode summary, Alli invites the popular girl Mikayla (i know for a fact thats wrong, i just forget her name)to her house to be friends with her, but mikayla has her own motives…she probably has a crush on Sav? or she steals something from Alli’s parents and they blame alli considering she’s not exactly on their good side at the moment…

I’m kind of excited to see this episode because it’s obviously leading up to Alli’s running away storyline… But I have a feeling Alli’s new friend is going to be a total bitch for some reason. Anyone besides me think when the shit hits the fan she may be one of the reasons Alli runs away? Maybe the reason why Alli is so pissed at Sav in the promo is because she finds out he’s been dating and/or sleeping with her new friend?

so, can I speak honestly? Half way through this episode, I found myself thinking ‘Darn, I wonder what Manny, Emma and Spinner and that crew are doing; it simply has to be more interesting that this.’
Save the Fadam plotline (which is notable for the fact that it’s, in some ways, very new TV territory), and the Eclaire storyline (because Eli’s crazy will most likely be epic), I just…I’m finding Degrassi as underwhelming as hell and have been for a minute.
That said-see you all next week, lol.

Just did not enjoy tonight’s episode. Nothing really happened in the Alli storyline, the Ziley storyline was just a buildup, same for Drew/Bianca. I’m not gonna write these storylines off, I just didn’t see anything yet. Hopefully they pick up next week and this can go down as a good episode.

My opinions:
Plot A: Drew/Bianca
It was a little bland for me. The only thing that kept me interested was that Bianca actually seemed to be into Drew. And to be honest, she doesn’t seem all that bad anymore. I was hoping for Drew to get rejected in a more public way or for that part of the plot to be more than just him walking around trying to talk to girls. I also found it annoying that Drew went from wanting Bianca to leave him alone to almost instantly making out with her and defending her agaisnt KC and DAve. Overall, it was a good set up for the next episode (Drew doing drugs). As a few side notes: I was glad to KC stay calm after Drew called him out on Jenna’s pregnacy, and it was a bit akward that Bianca just showed up without any introduction. MY GRADE: B
Plot B: Zane/Riley
First off, thank god Riley got a haircut. This plot definately had its moments, like Riley checking himself out in the mirror. I enjoyed seeing Riley struggle through the art gala and try to be all artsy. It was a well planned plot showing Riley’s change and transformation from violent jock to willing boyfriend to Zane. Riley and Zane were as cute as ever in this episode when they were in Riley’s room. Not to metion the excellently planned cliff hanger ending with Riley’s mom. MY GRADE: A
Plot C: Alli
This part of the episode got to be very boring. It was almost obvious from the moment we met Mileka that she was no saint. I think she was used just to show Alli almost a mirror image of her (sneaking around behind her parents back, having secret boyfriends). Making Alli a loner at her new school was clever by the writers because it shows us the old Alli, the one at the bottom of the social ladder. However, I think we needed to sit through this plot so that we could catch up with Alli (as we haven’t seen her in a while). Unfortunately, I don’t think this plot will head anywhere. Maybe Alli will end up back at Degrassi, but I find myself not really caring why or how. MY GRADE: C

I loved the Riley/Zane and Alli build-ups, but Drew and Bianca sucked the life out of this episode. These two characters are so not developed enough yet for an A plot featuring a hook-up/possible relationship between the two.
Tell me, Degrassi producers, why should I care about a full-of-himself douchebag, whose only redeeming value so far has been his supportive relationship with his transgender brother, and the bitchy slutbag with whom he cheated on his girlfriend, and, coincidentally, happened to be the one who outed his brother to the school and called his brother a freak? I honestly care more about Danny and Leia as a couple than I do with these two as a couple. And that’s just not right.

My thoughts on this episode: 1. KC had a huge pimple. I’m not saying that’s bad, because all teenagers deal with acne. I’m just pointing it out because it was definitely noticable in this episode. 2. Alli’s plot definitely just seemed like a filler. Despite the fact that I missed her alot, when it comes to THIS plot, it’s lame, and frankly, waiting until Chasing Pavements to see her would not have been the end of the world. 3. I find it quite hypocritical how Jenna is shunning Bianca for “stealing” someone’s boyfriend when she tends to make a game out of doing it herself. 4. Drew is addicted to love. “So I guess I’ll be flying solo for a while?” yeah buddy, not the end of the world. I was hoping that basketball would knock some sense into his head. 5. No matter what anyone says, I like Bianca. She’s definitely starting to show some human qualities. However, I don’t like how she gave Drew ANOTHER blowjob right before the first commercial break. And finally, Sav’s little rant about cereal was not needed.

I agree with ur comment alot! I used to like drew but Now he is pissing me off. I really hope somebody sets that bitch Bianca straight becuz it annoys the shit out of me how she thinks she’s so tough but in the end she’s just a week slut. And I also agree that Jenna has no right to judge Bianca either. Look I hate the both of them and I was actually kinda glad Jenna was like that toward Bianca becuz I probably wud have done the same but Jenna needs to look back at what she did to Clare cuz that was not cool. Here r the characters I hope will be in the running for dying this season: Bianca Jenna KC I’m sorry but I can’t stand either of those characters

^ My point exactly. That could easily have been cut and replaced with a deleted scene of some sort. Although it was only like, 30 seconds of the episode anyway, it seemed quite pointless. “Ah, the last of the cereal is always the best of the cereal.” ??? Idk I just feel like they could have cut that line and just started off with Alli walking into the room.

Jenna and Bianca don’t die, because they’re in the Spring Break Special. Neither does KC, because @smearle_rh tweeted about his excitement for Season 11. It looks like the only ones who could possibly die at this point are- Connor Riley Declan Zane or Ms. Oh. Please note that all other cast members have either been confirmed or confirmed themselves in one way or another.

The past few seasons have been really meh. I was really hopeful with the Boiling Point, but Degrassi’s kinda all over the place. I miss the days when it was realistic, but still shocking. Now there’s no surprise element at all. Remember when it used to “go there?” A’la Craig and his bipolar disorder, Manny’s abortion, the school shooting, Paige’s rape and the aftermath (the revenge she got with the car), and JT’s death? I think that Drew’s story would have been better suited to KC. It would have been more in character and I think that getting a girl pregnant and abandoning her would make someone a pariah more than cheating.

I was dissapointed with this episode mostly because it was…er…boring. idk why…I really am not all that interested in Rane (Riley and Zane) anymore, I want to see more of Eli and Clare! I wanto see the Eli psycho episode already, not really interested in Drew’s drug use. The only thing I enjoyed was Alli was back! I hope her runaway plot comes soon!
