I’m excited for tonight. I was out of town last weekend, and decided to hold off on watching Umbrella, Part 1 until tonight…yeahhh it’s gonna be like a Degrassi double feature for me! That and I haven’t watched any of the promos for Umbrella. Can’t wait to see some Fadam action!!!

Cant wait to see it! My last comment was on umbrella part 1 where I said that Eli didnt want to have sex with claire because I think he might be a hoarder. But after seeing the promo and she says “Taking her place in your bed” I changed my mind he’s hesitant because the last person in his bed was Julia and he’s probably not quite over her yet because the way they made it sound is as if he was with her for a while and then her dying and stuff that can be quite traumatic for a person. I think thats why he wears all the black and goth stuff, because true goths wear black because they are in mourning. Also that part when he starts freaking out digging through the garbage can I think claire cleaned out his locker and threw out something important or sentimental to him, and the part where he says “I feel like I’m gonna die.” Those are both signs of anxiety/depression. Because I have been diagnosed with anxiety and alot of the time you do feel like youre gonna die. and you get anal even about the smallest things, and very easily irritated.

i agree with you for the most part, but i think that eli goes crazy becuase the schooled cleaned out his locker and not clare..they did say they were going to have random locker inspections.!!

Sounds like they’re going back to the Craig/Manny first date storyline with Anya and Wesley (although in that case it was a real date, whereas here it’s just Anya trying to be nice). Somehow I don’t think this will turn into a relationship the way that did.
Until this week’s episode, I was under the impression that Adam’s “secret” was known by the entire school at this point. I mean, once Bianca and the bullies found out, is there really a chance (in a real high school the size of Degrassi) that everyone in school wouldn’t know? Just seems silly to me that the writers have gone that route. There’s no way Bianca, Fitz and company would keep their mouths shut about gossip like that.

I think it’s realistic that Fiona is unaware of Adam’s issue. Fiona has been distracted by her own issues the entire season. And she’s kinda self-absorbed, so that doesn’t help her awareness.

I really liked Umbrella Part 2! I was surprised that Eli is a hoarder, and I like that Degrassi is taking on a new issue. I’m also super exited to see how Fadam goes. I hope that Fionna is ok with Adam’s secret. I also like how Adam and Drew seemed like real brothers in this episode. Dave is very annoying, and is way worse then Alli. At least when Alli sought after popularity, she still remained friends with Clare. I think Wesley forgave him too quickly. I thought this episode was great, and I’m excited for Jenna vs. Holly J! I hope she returns to her old ways to handle Jenna lol…

I actually really liked this episode. I hope they continue with this plot line of Eli being a hoarder and not just forget about it. Or pretend that it all got fixed. I really loved that bit in the end over throwing out the binder because for hoarders that what it is. It is a battle to throwout a single piece of paper.I just thought that it was an interesting story line to touch upon. I applaud you Degrassi writers :D

This episode was okay. I mean, Eli’s hoarding was unexpected (for me), and Munro’s acting was phenomenal!
But, I feel like the writers are over-using Eli/Clare. I get that they’ve found a couple that is popular, but I feel overwhelmed. While the writers are developing THESE characters, the other characters aren’t being developed. This is Degrassi, not the Eclare show. Eli/Clare have been in so many episodes.
I am not a hater, I’m just annoyed. I also can’t believe Clare’s parents allowed her to live in the house while they visit/schedule?

What happened to meaningful plots involving LESS characters. Too Many character complete kill the focus of the episode.
For example
Umbrella basically was a mix of Eli’s issues and Clare’s issue which means one plot was taking a backseat in each episode. Well actually even less than a backseat, more a slight mention.
If they wanted to do multiple people’s plots in a span of two episodes then they shouldn’t have the two episodes same name thing because they cover two completely different topics(but the episode name is relevant to both)
It’s confusing the hell out of me with so many characters all over the place floating from plot of plot
like its really one big plot(which it isn’t)
Some more of Clare’s Parent’s divorce would of been interesting or some more of Eli’s hoarding IMO
Each got over shadowed by the other.
Also How Clare’s parents just gave in at the end randomly was really stupid and how Wesley forgave Dave after he treated him the complete shit was stupid as well.
If someone ever treats you like that, then that friendship isn’t worth saving at all.(but Degrassi thinks it is complete appropriate for friends to treat each other like crap then become best friends again once the plot is over)

In the case of this episode I’m glad that they mixed Clare and Eli’s separate issues into one plot. I was bored with Clare’s plot, meanwhile Eli’s was so much better. In hindsight the way it worked out (Clare being the focus of Part 1 while Eli being the focus in Part 2) Eli’s plot saved the EClare interaction in this episode. But I could see how doing that in a future episode with two plots that are interesting would be extremely frustrating.

I completely agree with you. I dislike when the writers feel the need to take a dramatic situation and make it MORE dramatic, and that’s what they did with Clare’s plot. Eli’s plot was well executed because it wasn’t overdone, it wasn’t overly complicated, and it was well acted.

MORE WESLEY!!!!! NERDS RULE! he is so awesome!!!! I got really excited for his scene. He is so nonchalant and is very confident. He basically proved to Dave how stupid he was. He is the perfect and only uncorrupted guy on the show.
Where is everyone else? We haven’t seen riley and zane nor Kc . perhaps they will finally keep eli and claire on pause to keep the feelings fresh. There onscreen chemistry is so believable, so natural. Other couples seem so fake.
I miss the original Holly J, the one who was an evil queen B that was entertaining. Now she is a poor mans Ellie.
Degrassi is notorious for epic break ups and cheating. Maybe they can keep them (Eclaire) together until they pull a spinner emma marriage thing. Maybe they will have degrassi first still in high school marriage(not sure if there ever was) perhaps she will marry eli so they can have sex. hahahahahhaahahaha. Please keep them special, they r rushing them!

Claire is a freakin retarded saint and can’t act for her life. Her helpless cry in the last episode was so fake i thought i was going to start crying. but instead i laughed at her pathetic attempt to act. They only have her on the show because she was part of Darcy’s orginal family in the earlier seasons; like in the episode where Darcy has a 40 yr old fat stalker and Claire has to call 911.
