To even try to put the excitement about this into words is impossible…there’s just no way. So instead, let’s just breakdown what’s happening in this, the first promo of Degrassi Season 10. These are just the major things in the promo, and are in the order that they appear in the promo:
*Clare and Eli
“You have pretty eyes,” he says. But he gives off the vibe of a total creeper.
*Riley vs Drew
Now THIS is what I’m talking about. This lets us know that Riley didn’t come out to the entire community so to speak in season 9. And Drew’s gonna use Riley’s sexuality to assert himself as Degrassi’s alpha male.
*Fiona and….
…that dude who we have know clue, but we know he’s going to abuse her in some way, shape or form.
*Spinner finally finds out about Jane and Declan, but this takes place during the movie.
*There’s a scene where a kid’s thrown up against the wall by the cops, but I can’t tell who it is.
*Sav is in a car with Bianca and Adam, and he says “What do I do?” And then Bianca says “Floor it!”
*Alli and Drew an item?
*Fiona fed up and walking away from her boyfriend
*Sav is making out with some girl (that is NOT Anya)
*Somebody’s getting they’re but kicked
*Fiona getting hit :-(

Even if that is Anya I’m still somewhat justified in mistakenly believing that was her, but only because she looks COMPLETELY different than what she has the past 2 seasons (I watched it in slow mo and the still shot over 100 times now). @ shaquira, There is another promo for the Degrassi Every Episode Promo and they just show a quick clip,and i mean really quick clip and the end of Alli and Drew sitting down together and Alii tells Drew her parents won’t be home until later. Okay after seeing this I basically had a heart attack, this is going to be the best season EVER. Can’t wait for season 10 or July 16!
And I feel accomplished, I totally predicted some of this happening after seeing the Carnival video. Especially the Fiona abuse plotline.

season 1 and 2 were the cheesiest, happyish innocent episodes but season 2 was a little more intense
season 3 was in my opinion one of the best seasons (hopefully 1o is one too!) but the feel was still similar to seasons 1 and 2 just a little less cheesy
same with season 4
season 5 through 7 were kind of the darker seasons
season 8 was all school spirity and bright and stuff
season 9 was the same but slightly better
and I AM SO EXCITED FOR SEASON 10

i don’t think so. i think sav does something stupid (hence the part in the car when he’s like “what should i do?!”) that gets someone really mad and they try to kill sav, and maybe kill someone else instead of sav. although i think it’d be interesting to kill sav off in my opinion for two reasons lol. 1) because i don’t really care for sav, so if he died i wouldn’t be so emotional over it and 2) he has a lot of connections with just about everyone currently on the show so if he died there’d be a lot of different people effected by the whole thing which could make some good drama.

Degrassi is pretty smart. If this is indeed the first season without any of the kids from Season 1, then it was a good choice to have it be one of the biggest season’s yet.
I HAVE A LOT TO SAY:
Eli and Clare. They are so cute! And I really like her hair now.

I’ll be honest, I have enjoyed Fiona because I felt like she was boring and more of a prop to Declan’s character. But I actually think this will prove me wrong.
In all 9 season I have not seen Spinner that angry. I think he really loved and trusted Jane more than anyone before. This is so sad.
Ooh Sav’s gonna be bad. I didn’t expect Bianca and Adam to be friends.
So much going on. It does seem like something big is going to happen that will put the school in danger. I am wondering if it will be simaler to teh school shooting in season 4 only much bigger.

Whoa. This seriously made my heart pound and jaw drop.
The storylines look incredible (lets hope they’re not overadvertised and turn out to be a letdown), the new cast members seem pretty cool, overall just seems like the biggest season yet.
The biggest storyline that I’m looking forward to is Fiona’s abuse. Hopefully they’ll develop that storyline a little more than they did with Craig’s.

Eli and Clare – He does seem a bit creepy, but I hope it can be something that makes KC jealous.
Fiona – I’m glad she has a storyline, but I’m not glad she gets hurt. However, I’m very excited that they have relationship abuse as a storyline, we haven’t seen that since Rick and Terri, and even that didn’t last as long and didn’t seem AS intense.
Sav/Anya – I’m extremely excited at the fact Sav is getting an expanded character next season. We’ll see him without Janie and the Studz, and by the looks of it, he’s going to get in trouble. Plus, with Bianca, I’m glad they’re adding a bad girl to the scene! Very exciting. Plus, in the car with Bianca is Adam, if you watch in in slow-motion.
Drew/Riley – Very exciting! I completely agree with Kary on them. Plus, with Alli/Drew, I’m actually excited as well.

No Riley was a junior in seasons 8 and 9. the writers put him in classes with seniors for the plot line with Peter but the in “Beat It” they showed him hanging out with Juniors again. The writers did the same thing with Chantay once

Yeah I always thought Chantay was in Danny’s grade. But I guess she was in Grade 8 back in season 4.
And I thought Riley was a senior because he was in classes with the other seniors.
But I am glad Riley will still be at Degrassi. Not sure why they kept Chantay around, I doubt they will use her anymore than they have in the past. LOL even in the carnival promo we saw her for half a second.

well the guy who plays Riley tweeted “New dweebs to pick on”.. or something like that.
I figure, drew is new and joins the football team… Riley being like the alpha male that he is, feels threaten by drew who is better at sports so he picks on him, and drew sees Riley an Zane in public … doing what they were doing in the clip, so he wants to put Riley in his place, by blackmailing him.

So I was thinking that some of these episodes could be part of the weekly routine that starts in September and we wouldn’t see it for a while BUT I don’t think they have reached that far with filming the episodes yet. They just did a read through for 25, 29, 30 etc. so we should be getting all of these episodes this summer.

Yes, I did. KC is tall though, unlike Eli and the person here is shorter than Fitz. Plus, they only show the side of his face and his hands. His fingers are skinny, but there’s no indication that he isn’t skinny.

3 things that i noticed
1. that girl that Fiona’s abuser is kissing is not Holly J., unless Holly J. gets hilights.
2. the Danger Zone (s8 ep) commercal, Peter and Sav are in front of police cars, and they had nothing to do with them, so this might just be a misleader.

ya but they already did a shooting episode. So they’re not going to do it again. That would be dumb. And how realistic would it be to have 2 seperate school shootings within a 4 year time span (yes I know the shooting was s4 and now we are in s10 but with all the semesters being seasons an all that’s why its only been 4). Degrassi tries to relate to real life situations as much as possible. My theory about the lockdown is that it’s going to be like the degrassi high episode “showtime” clare and eli are going to fall in love but clare begins to grow afraid of him and eli is going to attempt suicide. But when season 10 premiers we will know for sure if Eli is going to be a series regular or not if he is in the theme song credits. If he isn’t that leads to a possiblity for my theory.
And if the lockdown is over something stupid like a drug search or something I am going to be PISSED.

I think that KC will start going down hill again and Clare with Eli will push him farther into bullying Eli. Then Fitz being the big bully that he is will join in on the fun. It seems kind of like Spinner and Jay with Rick in season 4. Jay was just a bully and Spinner was defending a friend in the wrong way. I think that Eli might be like Rick and bring a gun to school to get revenge. Clare might be like Emma and have feelings for Eli but is scared to show it. So overall I still think they are bringing back story lines from previous seasons that were popular. Everyone knows about the school shooting and Jimmy getting paralyzed, so that might make a repeat in Eli, KC, and Fitz. Personally I’m kind of hoping it does because that was a really good season.

so, this promo has pretty much given me an answer to how declan and fiona end up back in toronto instead of staying in new york: since fiona and her new bf and the people in the background of one of the clips are all in uniform, im betting that the abuse storyline takes place at the private school in ny. then stuff happens, and the coyne parents find out, so declan and fiona get to go back to degrassi.

Someone mentioned that season ten’s timeline starts in the summer, right after the Degrassi Takes Manhattan movie.
Here are my thoughts:
1) Fiona stays in New York, but Declan doesn’t. That explains why she’s hugging Holly J. Her boyfriend is abusive. I think she will try to keep it a secret and deal with it herself. That’s why in the carnival promo, Declan wasn’t there on purpose. It symbolizes that he will not be there for her sister. Also, Fiona is putting on makeup to hide her black eye.
2) Drew will be similar to Peter in season five. He’ll be with Alli, but will do something that will make her hate him. Also, he’ll blackmail Riley when he sees him on top of Zane in the park.
3) Clare likes Eli, making KC jealous. That’s why he is beating up Eli in the promo.
4) The shots of Holly J and Declan looking surprised or angry, and Spinner getting angry at Jane is probably in the Degrassi Takes Manhattan.
The rest I can’t really guess. This season looks amazing with its darker feel.

that would actually make a lot of sense – and would help with building up Drews character on the show. This is what I gathered on drews persona/motives in the show thus far:
New student (obviously) who is good looking and a talented football player. Alpha male at his old school, had girls falling all over him, and was the most feared and respected guy there. He comes here, and he’s not the alpha male, riley is. Drews not Star of the football team, Riley is. Drew doesn’t have the girls falling for him, Riley does. Drew gets jealous.
Then, if we put it in the order the way you stated, Riley and some other football team members bully Drew, maybe in some hazing type of thing (I say this because in the still from that shot of Riley and the duct tape with drew, riley doesn’t look that mad. Also, on Argiris’s twitter, he mentioned something about riley pickign on new students – this might be what he was referring to), and that makes drew even more angry towards riley, and even more motivated to take rileys spot. Drew begins looking for ways to destroy him.
Then, one day, Drew sees Riley and zane in some park or somewhere (Love that part of the commercial, riley and zane = so cute!!! :D) and realizes (obviously) that riley is gay. Drew knows that something like this will wreck his social status (especially with the guys on the football team. They’ll make jokes about it, and you remember how spinner acted when marco first came out), and by the issues resulting from drew outing riley, Drew will have a window of opportunity to claim position as alpha male.
I hate this, but this is what I think. Stupid drew, I love Ziley

I think in What a Girl wants (i already said this, and tnx to squid dee, who gave me the idea)Fiona and Declan r still in ny, but he goes back 2 degrassi for holly j, and fiona becomes abused in ny. if they can switch back and forth from degrassi to smithdale, they can switch from canada to ny. i wonder what Adam, Bianca and Fitz hav to do with Sav. I think Adams storyline will be over the whole season, their dealing with a very hard issue and that is being born a boy but finding out that your a girl later in life, at least that’s the issue I think it is. I think to say that she is a lesbian may be stretching it a bit far, this is a storyline that where we have to see where they go with it because it’s got so many different directions it can turn

Hey everyone! Great blog as always Kary. This new season is going to be epic. With the promos that were released, it is leading to a plethora of theories/predictions, making everyone salivate by the millisecond as to what we are going to see.
Since everyone is making a list, I’ll make mine too.
1) Count me in the group that thinks Fiona’s boyfriend is kissing Jenna. The girl’s hair looks very similar to Jenna’s and not Holly J.
2) SMH @ Jane and Declan. Jane for not breaking up with Spinner when she clearly wanted to due to her lust for Declan and Declan for messing with a taken girl. Declan’s my dude don’t get me wrong, but you do not do that. Declan will obviously get the punishment in the backyard pool party of public opinion.
3)Sav is screaming not because he is hurt, but succumbing to all the drama that is going on. He unleashes a primal scream to vent out.
4)Dave needs to kick Drew’s ass. @Dave: dude, its obvious that you want Alli, you should’ve pushed the man aside at the carnival so you can have YOUR kiss.
5) Where’s Jenna? Maybe the secret that she doesn’t know is that she is kissing a taken man? KC finds out, goes apemode on Eli?

I really think that the lockdown is going to be another school shooting. The school has a suicide in it’s history already. I don’t know if they’ll do that again. Maybe not as is. I do think it’s going to be another shooting and maybe have the suicide in there. Like whoever it is go in shoot some people then themselves. That would be a little more interesting.

I think it would be more likely for them to do a suicide at the school, rather than a shooting. The shooting is too recent, and a lot of people that watch Degrassi TNG probably didn’t watch Degrassi High. A suicide at the school would be a new plot to the new viewers.
I don’t however think it’s going to be a suicide because Snake sounded a lot more paniced that he would be. If it was a suicide it was likely quick and over with, all that would be left was clean up and police work. He sounds really scared like he would if there was a bomb threat, or shooting.

Yeah I think it would be better as a bomb threat or scare. Because I think it would be too recent for me to repeat stuff that has already happened in Degrassi History. A bombing hasn’t happened and it’s kind of what happens in schools now. Because my school gets a bomb scare each year, it always ends up as a prank or they get caught before it happens.

Well it’s not like they haven’t recycled story lines. Darcy’s internet creep. Similar to the first real plot point of the series. When Emma meets that guy and goes to the hotel and almost gets raped. And like you all said Snake sounds really scared. To me I think it’s going to be another shooting. If it was a bomb threat he’d be more composed. A lock down is usually called when there is someone in the building doing something. Also I saw a screen shot of what people think is the lock down and there are people in the halls and all that. To me it seems like there is going to be a shooting where multiple people are seriously injured. And really let’s all be honest, no matter what happens, we’re all gonna be on the edge of our seats wanting every second of it.

No adam is a girl wanting to be a boy im 100% positive. Because adam is always wearing boys clothing and has a very pretty face. Also shes not exactly a tranny but more like a lesbian that dresses like a boy(cross dresser), i dont think she had a sex change or anything.
for all we know adam could just be a tomboy. but in the promo it seemed like he was a boy and we saw in the mirror what she really looked like . And the name adam is probaly just a name she gave herself and most likely not her real name

It makes more sense for Adam to be a mtf transgender because they cast a female actor for her. So I think she starts off as male then slowly realizes who she really is so she starts transitioning by whereing girls clothes and getting hrt. After a few months of hrt (probally late into the season) she can dress and look like a girl (as we see in the promo)
Thats what I think atleast. If she was a girl just dressing like a boy I do not think they would have shown the mirrors the way they did in the promo. (Adam looking into the mirror and seeing who she wants to be)
Obviously she is not ftm because again they cast a female actor because she transitions during the 48 episodes from mtf.

I would like it better if Adam was a girl and wanted to be a boy. Because it would be weird for a girl actor to play a boy wanting to be a girl when she looks like a girl, but that’s just me. But I don’t know for now, I just like it that we have a different character, no matter which way she goes.

I think it’d make more sense if Adam was really a girl. If Adam starts transitioning and starts wearing girlier clothes, it would reveal the actress’s figure. But a biological boy wouldn’t look that girly already even if he was wearing girls’ clothes. I think Adam is a girl taking on a boy’s identity.
But I’m excited for it either way!

I am soooooooooooooooooo excited for this. when snake said “the school is in lockdown” i actually got chills. i think the lockdown is going to be something to do with sav because they show him A LOT in this promo and he was screaming like crazyyyy. or it could be about eli since we see him getting beat up and he could commit suicide or bring a gun like rick. im most excited for fionas storyline. i absolutely love her and i feel like shes going to progress into an awesome character this season. i wish she didn t have to get abused but at least shes gonna get one of the most intense storylines this season. i think its kinda weird how they didnt show any clips of adam,jenna,holly j or declan storylines. im really excited for clare and eli. i think im gonna reallyyyyy like them together or reallyyyy hate them together haha idk yet. i think ill like them though because their scene in the carnival promo is my favorite part. im soooo pumped for this! only a month and 3 days!

i think they only showed the most intense storylines. leah’s dull plot, peter, holly j, declan, adam and jenna’s plots are mostly about who likes who and bein g treansgendered, which, doesnt make the commercal intense. they just wanna mak it look all actiony.

yeah, that was my impression. adam is a boy, but is realizing that his mind is that of a girl, and saw himself in the mirrors as he truly should be.
and as a note: i have a friend who’s transexual (male body, female mind) and even tho her body is male, she doesn’t look entirely like a guy and has a lot of feminine aspects, like an incredibly high-pitched voice and un-broad shoulders. so that could easily explain why its a female actor.

So, he’s a guy that wants to be a girl, so when he looks into the mirrors, he sees a girl, because that’s how he sees himself. Like, when he actually looks down at himself, he sees that he has male physical features, but when he looks into the mirrors, he sees a girl, because he interprets himself that way. And they use mirrors because it’s how you see yourself.
I mean, mirrors can be deceiving. “Objects in mirror are closer than they appear.” xD See, it’s not actually showing exactly what’s there..Lol.

I do see your point of view on this, but how I see is this:
Say you had brown eyes but you really wanted blue eyes. If you looked in a mirror, would you see blue eyes because you want to, or brown eyes because those are the kind you actually have?

But anyways, back to the surgery thing. They would have a girl playing a guy because if they hit the topic hard enough, they might have an episode where he gets surgery to become a girl…and 1: (I’m not trying to be stereotypical) But usually guys who feel that they really, and truly are supposed to be girls, and some gay guys, usually have more of a feminine look to them. And then 2:Like I said, surgery. They would have a girl to play a guy so that if he does have the surgery then they could have a girl playing a girl.

cuz you know lovers is a VERY strong term for a relationship so i think that claire and eli could be more serious than we think. i mean they could have used another term thats less strong like lust or romance those could have been lighter terms but then lovers is more serious and strong. so then eli cant die if him and claire are really gonna be that serious. well he can but its just gonna be WWWWAAAAYYYY to heartbreaking.

The Death Tarot card means transformation, making way for the new, unexpected change, loss, failure, illness or death, or bad luck. I think it’s going to affect Clare by having regret or trouble getting over K.C. and onto a new guy. But it could mean death or illness for someone else. And I hope Eli has nothing to do with the lock-down at the school, it looks like in the video in slow-mo that he gets either bullied or beat up (Maybe, not sure), so I hope that doesn’t lead to anything bad.

During the carnival promo I saw that Bianca is the “Girl who makes boyfriends disappear” I put that together with the promo of Degrassi Takes Manhattan/Season 10 and what I got from the part when Bianca is telling Sav to “floor it” something goes wrong and he gets put in jail….hmmm.
To me the most nerve racking storylines are the KC/Jenna/Eli/Claire storyline

You know, I never thought of her getting pregnant. But, she would be the perfect character to do that with. I’m just saying because of Clare’s religious upbringing, and her parents, and how well she does in school, and that she’s basically the ”perfect” child.
But I don’t agree with the abortion thing. If she wound up getting pregnant, I would want her to keep the baby, because every time someone gets pregnant on Degrassi, they get an abortion. This Degrassi stuff is really starting to bother me. At first I was one of there biggest fans. But now…it seems that after every single 6 or 7 episodes, they stop showing it and then come back 6 months later saying they are about to make a major come back and when it actually gets down to it, its always just on that one character like ALi Pandari, it was all about her and Johnny and like her (we already knowing) giving it up to Johnny DiMarco. This is happened one to many times and I’m getting sick of it. But I pray that this new Degrassi Boiling Point really does make it. It seems that the older episodes are 100% better. With the old characters as we know such as Paige, Liberty, Toby, JT, and Darcy. I don’t know what it is but these newer episodes with the new charcters such as Fiona, Declan, and Dave are just not cutting it with me. And what ever happended to Derek he never annoounced him leaving he just never appeard in any of the rest of the episodes…weird. So I hope Degrassi does really try to recover from this mess they have made. By the looks of the promos and stuff, it seems pretty interesting with the death and love cards. And…there is one more thing..Emma, Manny, and Spinner are the oldest characters on this show…dont they have anything better to do? (not counting snake, spike, and katelyn…and that bald guy “craig’s dad”) I mean they are like in there 20’s now. Because you know Aubery(Jimmy) is now a succesful rapper you may know as Drake. I have also seen some of Lauren’s (Paige) work which of course is the no brainer…acting. So… I pray this season is better than the last few. Good luck Degrassi!!

How does one get “anime hair”? I totally agree though, Zane totally has anime hair. I am sooo excited for Season 10, and though I usually never like the new people at first, am totally excited about Adam and Eli. I was never a big Alex fan, so I could care less about Bianca. I just don’t want Claire to get hurt. I would like her to have a real shot at love with Eli, but I know Degrassi and the drama, so it isn’t really likely. I love Riley and Zane, and for goodness sake, can’t we let Riley be happy for at least 2 episodes? I mean the poor guy is dealing with being gay, and being the alpha male, can’t he have a boyfrield for just a few shows? My take on Adam-I think she is physically a girl so inside is a boy, and when she looks in the mirror sees a girl, and she is disgusted with that. I agree it should take the whole season for her character to develop though, because it is a sensitive subject that they have never tackled. Okay guys, we only have one month and 2 days until the movie. I really don’t think I can wait that long.

I just realized that Sav doesn’t really have any friends at Degrassi anymore. Peter, Danny & Jane have all graduated. Spinner is…somewhere. And by the looks of it, Declan is in Manhattan. The only other person he was friendly with was Anya, so I can see why he would want to renconcile with her or gain some friends that seem to be bad influences.

The only thing I’m disappointed about the promo NOT showing is what happens with Jenna. This is going to bother me for some time now, cause I want to know what’s going on!
I’m almost positive after seeing this promo that I will not like Drew. I absolutely hate blackmailers, but this is even worse because now he’s using Riley’s sexuality. I really like Riley, and I do want Riley to come out, so hopefully Riley proves Drew wrong in being both better than him AND coming out.
Wow, for an abuse storyline I didn’t expect the writers to show that much. I feel so bad for Fiona. But I think she will show the quiet strength. But it’s so sad looking into her eyes and seeing her so sad.
This Eli storyline is VERY intriguing. He shows interest in Clare, he fights with Fitz, he possibly gets arrested, he might provide a lockdown for the school. He’s going to be quite a character. I wonder if Clare is going to pull what she did with KC, and if he’s a bad boy she’s gonna try to “change him”.
What the hell did they do to Sav???? HAHAHA, I have never been SO EXCITED to see Sav in my entire life. He’s back together with Anya, he’s randomly screaming, he’s in a police chase!?!? This is going to be an exciting season for Sav.
Call me crazy, but I actually don’t think Holly J is going to be such a prominent character in this season as she was the last.
I’m confused, so KC and Fitz are friends?? Wow, KC totally relapsed. I think this is what we’ve been waiting for for the past 2 seasons: KC’s past. Now that he’s hanging out with people he used to hang out with, we will finally find out what that is.
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Alli and Drew have sex. Like, I’m no expert, but just from watching Degrassi my whole life, once you have sex, even if you liked it or not, you will have it again.
One last note about Drew. I think Drew is going to be very manipulative. Manipulative with Riley, and possibly with Alli.

I can’t wait for Degrassi to come out again, but I’m also tired of it coming back and leaving. They always leave us guessing and usually the promos make us think the worse of the situations. I will laugh if what I thought never happens and it’s the total opposite. I’m excited to see new characters, but I’m really interested in what character or stereotype there going to take in Degrassi. And I also want to know where they came from? Are they transfers, new Freshman’s, or just students Degrassi has had but never focused on. I always wonder this every time they bring someone new in. I really was hoping they would bring back old students, like Terry? Where the heck did she even go, I wish they could but she’s probably older now. And I think there not very good on transitioning between college and high school. I hope someone gets pregnant, @Gianna said before, we’ve never really have seen the life of a teenage girl get pregnant, have the baby, and keep the baby through high school. Mia doesn’t count because she was a transfer so we didn’t get to see what it was like before she had her baby and she left the show anyways. We’ve seen adoption and abortion, but we haven’t see a teenage mother yet. And there’s a bunch more I would like to see, but that would take forever to write about.

Why would they bring Terri back? She has no ties to the show anymore. And I do NOT want another pregnancy. That storyline is so played out. And yes, Mia does count. We saw a character go through a full term pregnancy (Liberty) and a teenage mother (Mia). They should focus on thinking of other storylines instead of knocking yet another girl up.

Yes, hello to the teen pregnancy-they haven’t really ever tackled that through a whole pregnancy. Mia didn’t count, because all she ever did on the show was model and spirit squad, so from what I see she was really not much of a mother anyways-she was barely with her child ever. I am a 33 year old mom of a 5 year old, so my opinion will be much more skewed than you guys, because I am assuming you guys are all teens. I know, I am a big nerd, a 33 year old who loves Degrassi, but all I had growing up was full house-and it was lame. Plus I think Degrassi does a great job of dealing with real issues, and my daughter will one day be a teen, and I want to be prepared. I think Clare or Jenna would be one of the ones to get pregnant, or even Alli. I can tell I won’t like Drew either, but he sure is a hottie. I can’t help rooting for Riley though, because we have seen his character come full spectrum. Spinner is still one of my favorites, but I know his time has come to an end on the show, and they will probably just phase him out. I hope he beats the hell out of Declan though. That will make my husband happy, as Spinner is his favorite also.

here is what I hope for in s10…..
1. Jenna falls for Adam,a female ina male’s body, and that makes her a lesbian, and she doesnt know it, or a rumor is started about her.
2. they do not show leah, chantay, holly j, and jenna in the promo. they show the most intense parts of the 1st half of s10.
3. judy jiao leaves during the half way mark in degrassi, which means that leah IS involed with the shooting, or bomb or whatever. either, she is dangerously affected by it, she suicides or her parents take her out of degrassi because they want to keep her safe. i think that she will suicide. from the carnival promo, it looks like she trys to bully som1 to fit in (connor), but is bullied by other people (fitz), so she kills herself. but, thats just what i think. its probably not gonna happen, but watever.

If you do freeze frame for when they are flashing the clips, you can see a scene where the school is completely trashed and you see people running. i bet it is from the bombing. It also looks like there is a lot of newspaper on the ground? possibly something might have been said in the news/anti-grapevine that the bomber/killer did not like.

actually, starting in season 6 they made the cast stay in the same grade for 2 seasons.. therefore, they wont graduate in season 12 if they keep up the 2 season thing.. :/ not to be rude or anything >.< sorry.

I have a theory about the whole Anya being 2-faced..
Remember in the mini when at the end she said to her friends “Psssh yeah I’m liking a future without Sav!” and then in the crystal ball she put on some goggle that made her see Sav walk through the door, which symbolizes that she is not over him?
Her friends appear mad at Sav, hence the music video promo hints. Just because Holly J smiled at Sav does not mean they have to have “chemistry” between them, the smile looked very fake and her eyes looked like anger as she removed the knife from the board.
So anyways, while Anya’s friends thinks she’s over Sav.. she’s instead with him getting back together without them finding out.
Her friends = Mad at Sav and assume she is too

That is Anya who Sav’s making out with because if you watch it frame by frame, you can see a little bit of her face and her newly dyed hair. Then, she says “You said it would be different this time!” or something like that, and if you watch verryyyy closely, it’s anya and it’s her voice. Then, if you look at their clothes, they are both wearing the same thing while they are making out and when she says “You said it would be different this time!” It’s most definitely Anya.

With Anya and Sav back together in the Promo this is what I hope happens:
Since Anya and Sav are lonely they decide to start dating again from scratch. One day Anya and Sav are making out in Sav’s bedroom, thats where it looks like in the promo, and they hear his parents come home. Sav wants Anya to sneak out the window so Anya gets mad and says “I thought things were going to be different this time!”. Sav gives some lame excuse as to why she can’t see his parents, which makes her madder. She walks out of his room and goes downstairs to see his parents. She tells them “Sav and I were still dating and we went to the Formal together, which is where we had sex for the first time. Then we broke up and got back together and now we are breaking up for the last time cause your son is a jackass!!!”. Then she just leaves there house.
That would be awesome!!! Then maybe Sav’s parents would kick him out of the house, which causes him to get into trouble with the law.

Claire’s new look is obviously hinting that her and Alli (who Kary said upgraded herself to being popular) are going to be the new “populars” in 10th grade. I actually find them to be like the new Emma and Manny. So far Alli has been going down the same road as Manny, having sex earlier, care’s about their appearances (in the beginning of Manny’s career on Degrassi) and becoming popular. Claire is the little too innocent girl who’s friends with someone of the complete opposite (like Emma) and slowly becomes more like Alli with her appearance and social standing.
I think that was Drew who was slammed into the wall. If you pause it at 0:40 his face is almost completely clear. I don’t really know what drew looks like but I think it is him.
And that did look like Anya he was making out with. Pause at 0:42 and someone else inspect it. And at 0:44 is shows the girl saying “You said it would be different THIS TIME”. (I referred to her as ‘the girl’ cuz i really can’t recognize the new cast as well as the old one)
For those who are saying Sav might die cuz he was screaming pause at O:46, though this could just be from his acting skills but, i just don’t think that is a look of “Oh god i’m dying” it more looks like “Oh god i was really hurt” or “Oh god I’m so f***ing sick of all this drama”
Also at 0:44 (sorry if these times are alittle off) there is a blonde girl making out with who appears to be a new guy. Could it be Jenna? From what i can think of right now, Jenna is the only really blonde girl on the show for that season. And i know for a fact that wasn’t KC. It also shows a clip of KC angry right after.
These are just my opinions. Please reply if you noticed anything or if a point I made actually made sense.

i agree with you about sav because he is outside the school in what seems to be the area where degrassi students chill at the picnic tables/park benches. he may just be gettin lost mentally and emotionally because of sumthin. i am still interested about claire because i dont think she will be that popular as you say. i feel alli will be but not claire. i think claire will be respected all around. one thing i feel degrassi may do this year is develop a gang that actually wreaks havok. im talking fitz,bianca,kc,adam,posssibly eli for a bit and maybe someone else and all the fighting is just an iniation

for claire i just assumed her social standing would follow alli’s social status because is past degrassi seasons, when a close friend turns popular, they either bring their friends up with them too, or completely ditch them. and since claire did get her edgy make-over i figured she would at least be a little more popular. plus last season, when she started wearing darcy’s old clothes she became instantly more popular and noticed.
and there is gonna be a new havok gang because they wouldn’t be adding all these antagonistic characters (and even hinted anya to be one now) unless they were to make a new gang. although i don’t think anyone could beat jay from all the other seasons(:
for jenna, i have no clue. i hate her character because her appearance of being so innocent bugs me, and i didn’t get to know her character enough before she created a big scandal (being ONE of the reasons for KC dumping claire) i am thinking there will eventually be a lesbian in the mix, but jenna, i just can’t imagine it.
i am very pro sav+anya because i think their relationship was very relate able to high school ones (besides the fact about sav’s family). their relationship even reminded me of mine. not really the story lines but when they were dating their interactions with each other were realistic. i do hope that they end up back together but i don’t want it to happen to soon just because it won’t make their break-up as effective if they get back together right away.

actually, that IS anya that sav is making out with. i can tell because of her bone structure in her face and her nose looks extremely like anya’s. it couldn’t be anyone else because bianca is the only other girl with black hair, and hers is more full of volume and has a different bone structure. i’m pretty sure whoever was talking to clare at the end when she said “what?” all freaked is going to harm her in some way, because in the promo commercial at the carnival her fortune card said death. there’s a lot i’m assuming, but i can’t wait to see the first episode! i’m pretty sure the lockdown has something to do with the harmings of the person who was making out with sav & clare. i’m also pretty sure that kc was beating up eli, and i’m assuming he did something to clare that upsetted kc. then again, i’m probably wrong lol

possibly because usually lockdowns occur when that person causing harm is still in the school if there is someone causing harm but there could be multiple people causing harm.in the commercial it says that physical fights or whatever is going to mess with all the relationships so i believe kc will fight physically for claire. i dont think there is going to be an emergency where there is an ambulance involved so there will be no shooting or stabbing

Oh my god, i was pausing through the frames. I notice that at 0.44 that Holly J. is Making out with the person who is abusing Fionia. Also I know Eli, get’s into that fight with K.C. I saw K.C. in the frames. Which probaly makes Eli or K.C. to make the school go into Lockdown. I can see one of them doing it, K.C. brought the coaches gun to school in Heart Like Mine. i hope everyone reads this but holly j will be dirty dancing this upcomin season in degrassi. That will be her mistake. how she gets to do dirty dancing i wouldnt know but that is her mistake. It has been said by one of the directors of degrassi and also herself. the real question is who she will be dirty dancing with/on aand also why? but tie this in to the degrassi promos and then we will have more answers after degrassi in manhattan.

Alli is obviously the new manny. from watching her, i can tell that she WILL have sex with drew, and he might proabably stomp on her heart.
Claire is the new Emma. She trys to fit in with her best friend (alli) but its just too intense for her. her and eli will make a very interesting storyline. i wonder what alli would think of him (like emma, damin,manny).

OMG i’m soooo glad someone else said something about that…its like especially with the ninth graders they won’t stop comparing. i’m like first of all when manny was in ninth grade she was already perceieved as a full on slut, Alli just wants to branch out from her culture, and clare is compared to Emma, granted their really similiar but clare is soooooooooo much less annoying then Emma was, and she’s just naive to most subjects. and I dnt mean to offend anybody but i’m absolutely sick and tired of hearing “bring back the originals!” …first of all this show is strictly about kids who go to the school, so of course like regular high school new kids come in all the time, get over it…or dnt waste ur time complaining about it.

what im MOST looking forward to is fiona getting abused (its good that shes at least getting a storyline) and the suicide/bomb/shooting. cuz to be honest, when it showed terri getting abused in season 3, it just wasnt really dramatic or intense. but the promo really makes it look very dramatic and intense, which is what i luv about degrassi. and the school shooting in season 4 was dramatic, but just wasnt good enough for me. you know what im saying? but hopefully the suicide/bomb/shooting will be better.

Holy effing crap. I’m so ridiculously excited for this, especially Riley (he’s my new favorite character) and Zane and the whole spectacle with Drew. Then Fiona and whoever that guy is, Clare and Eli, and just…gah. I feel like it’s going to be an incredible season. Hopefully it doesn’t disappointment (oh, and I’m intrigued by the “lock-down” thing too.
Now, about Adam.
When I saw that promo, to me it was like she (or he) was looking in the mirror and seeing the reflection of what she DIDN’T want to be, you know. Like seeing the truth. She WANTS to be a guy, and that’s the face she puts forward, but deep inside she knows what she really is physically, even if mentally, she’s something else.
So, to me, Adam is a girl who wants to be a guy, thus seeing a girl when she looks at her reflection. Lol, I have no idea if I made any sense.

well in the boiling point promo eli is getting beaten up by either K.C or Fitz(in the promo wat got me thinking it mite be KC was there jackets,they looked the same)but im prettey sure it was fitz. ANYWAY i think there will be a love triangle cuz the mary lady said Fitz mite like smart girls, so im thinking is claire and eli become a cople. =). then fitz get a student tutor who is claire then he starts liking her. question what’s with all this Adam being Drew’s step brother I’ve been reading about? Thats just throwing me off a little, because there was nothing shown or said about that. If you have the info please give me the website or how that you thought up with that theory at least say something not just something you know, give info to back it up. Also as for the Lockdown… it could be many things like a bomb threat, first off if it was that, they must know how to make one and rig it. So that person had to be a genious and that person must have something against the school. Shooting mostly likely because of the bullying around there are many hints in the promos and clues. It might keep you guessing thats my theory…

I dont think Sav is the one that dies. I think Eli dies because in the Degrassi Shark In The Water music video when Claire is reading his fortune he gets the Lovers Card and the Death Card. And in the Season 10 promo Eli is the person fighting KC probably over Claire, so KC probably brings the gun he took from the coach to school. Which makes the school go on lockdown

Oh man, I am SO excited for the Boiling Point. I’m sure that it will the be the best season yet, I’ve watched every Degrassi episode since the beginning. I have a few theories, some relating to what you guys have said, some being different. Sorry if this is long.
The plot that I’ve seen that has been talked about the most is the whole Riley/Zane/Drew thing. It’s pretty obvious Drew is going to use Riley’s sexuality against him, and in the previews he says “I’ll tell the entire team unless you step aside for QB1.” … I think Drew will blackmail Riley, and attempt to steal his quarterback position. Plus, Riley and some other guy beat up Drew, I think. I can see I won’t like this Drew… I hate blackmailers, and Drew reminds me a lot of Jay, which I didn’t exactly love him.
Now onto Claire and Eli. I am VERY excited to see what will happen with this plot. I think Claire needs to get over KC. I don’t think Eli is a creeper, and the way Claire looked at Eli after he told her she had pretty eyes shows that she likes him… I hope they get together, they’d be cute. Eli is totally adorable, I can tell I’ll like him.
The one part that shocked me is with Fiona. I had a feeling that she’d be in an abusive relationship after they showed the black eye in the carnival video. I’m also anxious to see what will happen with this… I’m happy to see that Fiona is going to finally distinguish herself from Declan, instead of being a tag-along character with him.
The whole thing with Ali and Drew… well, that’s a no brainer. They hook up/date, have sex, blah blah blah. It’s typical for Ali, I have a feeling Drew is going to be the new heartthrob of the school.
About the whole Sav and Anya thing… it IS Anya, not the Biana chick. I truthfully have no idea why people are mistaking Bianca for Anya, you can clearly see that it is Anya kissing Sav on the bed, and Anya asked Sav “I thought it would be different this time”, or whatever. How I think they incorporate Bianca into this is that it’s gonna be like Farrah… Sav is gonna crush on Bianca, and Anya is going to get hurt by him.
I guess no one is as shocked by this part as I am, but HOLLY J and SAV hook up… it shows them about to kiss in a preview, my jaw dropped when I saw that. I knew they’d hook up eventually, since Holly J did have a crush on him in season 8.
The whole death thing… I’m lost. I think it might be a bomb, I can see them doing that, but that whole thing is confusing to me. I think Sav might be the one killed, because of the whole knife being thrown at him in the carnival video. I might be wrong, I dunno.
Jenna and KC. That couple makes me so mad, I lost total respect for KC when he began to date Jenna. Even though I KNEW it was going to happen, I couldn’t help but be shocked when it did.
And last, Adam, I think is her/his name… THIS is the only thing I’m unsure about. They’re incorporating a new problem in the show, besides the cliche issues like pregnancy, abuse, death, etc. I think he or she is gender-confused… Adam isn’t sure if she wants to be a boy or a girl, which is something Degrassi hasn’t attempted yet. I hope they play this out well.
Oh, and the not too important parts… Spinner finds out about Jane and Declan, someone gets arrested, and I’m thinking Holly J and Declan break up since Holly J hooks up with Sav.
I think I got everything… I am truly very excited for this season to start, and since it’ll be 48 episodes it won’t be like the other season where it’s only like, 4 episodes than the season’s over. I was getting tired of that, but hopefully they totally blow everyone away with this season… Degrassi forever! (:

Alright, I am now convinced with the deatn card thing…
It’s either KC or Eli. If you remember, KC did bring the gun to school, which shows that he isn’t scared to use one. And since Eli and Claire hook up, I think it makes KC so mad that he shoots Eli. I don’t think that will happen until the end of the season though, I think they drag that out.
And for the lockdown problem, I think Sav has something to do with it… I think he puts the school is lockdown than leaves, leading to the police chase. I dunno… I want the freaking season to come out, ugh. Oh, and I think he screams after he realizes what he did…

So as you all may know that Leia the asian person will only be appearing for the first 24 episodes of degrassi’s tenth season. I believe maybe she’s killed, commits suicide, or decides to leave because of something bad that happens (bullying, etc.)
Bianca & Sav are being chased by police… maybe in purple pills they do drugs or something?! Bianca seems like a bad person… haha
Also in one of the newer promos holly j tells who i think is anya.. that she wanted revenge so maybe holly j is going to do something to sav such as maybe threatening him since there was a knife being thrown at him in the degrassi carnival promo.
When eli and clare look at the card and the death one flips she seems shocked and he seems really chill so it almost appears like he is gonna kill someone o.O

I’m so excited for Clare and Eli this season I can’t wait to see them together,I love the whole opposites attract thing they have, with Clare being all innocent and good and Eli seemingly being dark and mysterious that should be interesting.I wonder how its going to play out.
From watching this promo so many times,I think in the first episode or somewhere in the beginning Eli will challenge Clare to ditch school with him thats why he says “maybe your scared” then Clare says “of what” so she goes with him to prove him wrong,they leave in his hearse,come back to school, where he flirts with her showing that he likes her and the look she gives him is sweet.I noticed that at around 0:40 Kc is seen behind the school building by a fence looking upset probably jealous of seeing them together?
I could see Kc fighting Eli over Clare but it could also be Fitz, he might like smart girls, so its possible that he wants Clare and beats Eli up because he knows there together. Or maybe he just beats Eli up because he’s different.
At around 0:40 theres a guy who resembles Eli,who is pushing who I’m pretty sure is Kc,both in football uniforms. I could be wrong but it looks like Eli will try out for the football team to either impress Clare or piss off Kc, maybe both.

I think Clare’s new look is showing that she’s growing into her own and is becoming more confident in herself,she looks great, I can’t wait to see her and Eli’s storyline together I like the whole opposites attract thing, what with her being all innocent and good and Eli being dark and mysterious.

My comments/opinions.
Maybe Sav doesn’t die but comes close. The knives almost hit him…BUT didn’t.
Maybe Eli is the one who might die…Clare can’t die, she was reading Eli’s tarot cards in the promo “Shark in the water”, and it said death. Maybe if Eli was reading her cards and death came up I’d say sure maybe Clare’s gonna die, but i think with the circumstances it is highly unlikely.
I think someone (not sure yet though) is going to have gender/identity issues. Possibly Adam…
Back to Eli/Clare. People think he is a creeper…I do not. He comes on strong to Clare but I don’t think he’s that type of a person.
Ali…everything with her is just…messed up. She said “never again” last season; will she get it on with Drew???

1. I’m pretty sure the lockdown is not a drill. They have 3 different previews they’re playing on TeenNick for the Boiling Point. In one, (it’s the one they play the most often), if you slow it down, frame-by-frame, it shows people running all over the school, running outside the school, and inside the school is a complete mess. Papers are strewn everywhere, which indicates that something is wrong.
2. I am 99.9% sure someone dies. If I had to say someone, my best guess would either be Eli, KC, or Sav. Eli is a new character, though, and I think it would be a longshot for him because Degrassi has never killed off someone as new as him. KC… well, he’d be killed by someone for him doing something stupid. And Sav… I dunno why, but I think it could be him. People are saying Leia, (the Chinese girl), is going to commit suicide because of her being bullied or because she becomes so traumatized by the lockdown.
3. It is Anya. I know for a fact it’s her. It is not Bianca, I promise this. Bianca is in ONE of the previews, and she’s the one yelling “Floor it.” Bianca has a way different nose than Anya, (haha, that was the first thing I noticed).
4. I think Fiona tells Declan about her boyfriend, but Declan doesn’t believe her. He says “You promised no drama this time.” I think Declan thinks Fiona is lying… which would suck. I actually hope I’m wrong, because if I’m not than I’d be really sad.
5. I know, I hate both of them now. KC used to be my favorite, now I don’t like him at all. Yes, I’m pretty sure they break up because Jenna becomes super possessive of KC, and I think he gets sick of it, dumps her, goes for Clare, than finds out Clare is with/likes Eli… and yeah, you see where that goes.
6. I think it’s Sav and Bianca. But, I THINK Fitz and Eli are the ones getting slammed up against the wall… people, it is NOT Peter. Peter is not in this season. Wherever people are getting that are getting the wrong information.

i think that for shure its Eli who got beat up. Koz before he says oh no you didnt and i know his voice. I always watch munro everynight on the latest buzz and i pretty know his voice !
