ElFimogen looks to be a giant circle of drama, which I'm kinda excited to see because all three characters can pull off drama pretty darn well.

Welcome back Connor! He goes from panty stealing to athlete. I wonder if he'll be like he was on the basketball team (being an assistant), or be someone with hidden talent that gets to play.
I cant wait for the Imogen, Fiona and Eli love drama. Eli better not screw up again with his jealousy and trust issues. I really want Imogeli to work. I hope Clare keeps her nose out of Eli and Imogens relationship. I hope Fiona is strong enough to stay away from the booze. I only ship Eliona and Fimogen as friends only.
Cake is just is morally wrong.

Now that Cake is surely over I remember how much I hate Imogeli. I hope Eli doesn’t discard Bullfrog’s advice to not date. He’s caused his parents enough pain.

You never know Imogen might teach Eli to see the world differently. Even Munro said Eli is going to see Imogen in another light. The problem Eli has it is very difficult to conqure OCD with meds. He tends to obsess over trivial things. Like in one of the discriptions of Need You Now Eli catches Imogen in a lie and he assumes she is cheating. For we know she maybe secretly doing something nice for him or she is hiding something about her homelife. We still do not know anything about Imogen. She may be abused or have an alcoholic parent. It would be nice for once that people would stop judging people. As I said before we don’t know Imogen.

For me, their “potential” doesn’t erase what happened between them in Now or Never. I don’t like their power dynamic, and I personally don’t think there can ever be an equal relationship between them.
I don’t like Imogen, but that has nothing to do with how I feel about Imogeli. I don’t like Emma, and I love Semma, haha.
I won’t lie though, it’ll be interesting seeing them together, even if I don’t like it. They have much more chemistry than Cake, so it’s not like they’ll nauseate me, haha.

Connors plot is the one I’m pumped for. Still hoping Wesley gets just one A plot this season.
The thought of Cake sex makes my stomach queasy. I can give or take Katie’s storyline but the 3 plots that seem most interesting are Kenna’s, Eli/Imogen FINALLY getting together and Connor trying out for football.
I wish Wesley would get a more significant plot other than just being a sidepiece/comic relief to the show. He doesn’t have to do anything that would put others at grave risk but something that would make him standout for once.
yeah I really don’t understand why we rarely ever see him…..I mean everyone for the most part loves him so wouldn’t it make sense to give him some plots?…..instead we get Cake every week…..
I know. Cake doesn’t need to be featured every week. There are about 20-22 characters that are on the main credits and they focus on 4 at the most. Sometimes I wonder why Degrassi has certain characters that are in the credits but won’t even give them screen time. Why can’t they do to Wesley what they do to Adam, which is feature him in a lot of episodes and sort of integrate him in the A, B or C plot. Unless there are problems or time constraints where the actor isn’t able to shoot, there’s no reason as to why characters like Wesley or Connor shouldn’t get more plots. How can you NOT love Wesley and his nerdiness and Connor’s portrayal of a teenager with Aspergers?

WOW, I am sorry you feel like that.
I don’t really want to hype myself up for any specific plots or write off any specific plots because I want to be able to watch them all with the same perspective, not one already conceived. However, my biggest issue is that it seems that the new niners are going to be almost totally separated from the others. The only evidence we have of interaction are two promo pictures (one of Owen and Tristan and one of Tori and Adam) and the fact that Maya and Katie are sisters and Tristan and Owen are brothers. It seems like the writers are trying to isolate the niners so that they don’t get attached to the characters that will eventually leave in order to continue the show. In my mind, this would be a shame because there are so many possibilities bringing in new characters, let alone new niners. I hope they interact with the other grades.
That’s true, I didn’t really notice that, seems like the niners are going to be in their own world separated from the Juniors and Seniors
I think Eli is going to overreact over something trival with Imogen and some of you forget that Eli is going to be on medication for the rest of his life and he will have his mania and depression. Bipolar sometimes triggers paranoia even with his meds. So don’t blame Imogen if Eli gets a little wonkey and obsessive about his girlfriend. OCD and Bipolar takes a long time to learn to contol and I hope Imogen is emotionally strong enough to handle Eli. For right now we know Clare is not emotionally ready for that.
I honestly doubt Imogen will be ready to handle Eli. I don’t mean this maliciously at all, but from what we’ve seen, she seems quite naive, especially considering she did think it was a good idea that Eli stop taking his meds. You don’t need to be that worldly to know that’s a terrible idea, so I think it definitely shows how naive she can be.
That picture of Eli & Imogen almost made me throw up…I do NOT like them as a couple at all. And it’s not because I want Eclare back together (even though I do). I would much rather see Eli learning to deal with his illness & become stronger on his own before he gets involved in a relationship. In a sense, I feel the same about Imogen. In her earlier appearances, she seemed quirky & comical. But she rapidly just became creepy from the implication that she had been watching Eli & Clare to planting the drugs in Clare’s locker. In short, she is a hot mess. I would much rather see why she is this way & what makes her tick than just slobbering all over Eli.

Remember when the show wasn’t solely about couple “ships” and fanbases? It was a glorious time when the most intense thing we saw was JT stuffing balloons up his shirt to mock Miss. Hot Sauce.

I’m stoked about this new season. I hope they don’t make it revolve around Cake because if they do, I’m going to throw my tv out the window. I really wanted to see some tension arise between Ali and Clare but not over Jake… Clare’s character is so selfish now. At least Fiona, Eli, Adam, and Bianca can keep me sane. I want more Bianca one-liners!
Connor in the football gear was the most surprising to me though. I’m sure Katie’s addiction will cause her and Drew to break up. I wonder if they’ll put Drew and Jenna together? Seems like she’s one of the only girls left he can date that isn’t taken, an ex, or a lesbian.

I Know Degrassi Is More Of A Soap Oprah But The Reason Why People Started Watching It In The First Place Because It Got To Deal With Issues That Teens Are Going Thrue. Hopefully These NEW Characters Grow On Us. For Example Holly J, She Was A Bitch, Bully, Victim, Then Fell In Love, We Saw Her Grow Then Leave To Yale. Officially All The Characters Who Were With J.T York Are Gone! Except Principal Simpmson lol.
Degrassi Will Never End. Just Hopefully They Make It Seem( Real ) Like Back Then Instead Of Just A Tv Show. For Example The Grade 9 cat fight?! Who fights like that? And when the teacher said stop they stopped? We Dont Want Humor, We Want Realness.
