Imogen must be a jersey girl at heart. She talks weird and seems to have a minor leopard obession( the cat ears in the opening creds and the sweater in the pics). Still very intrigued by her though cant wait to see what craziness she bringing to the table this week.

Looking forward to the Adam/Dave story, even though I’ve always found Dave to be rather useless. Lets hope Adam can make him interesting for once.

I am very excited 4 Adam and Dave plot. But it seems like 1 of those plots where it will end after the 2nd part & they become friends or at least have an understanding 4each other. Its messed up how Adam doesnt really hang with anyone anymore. Cnt wait
Picture 5: Damn, are the people in make-up applying Fiona’s eyeshadow with a spatula, this season? It’s like they’re worried that Fiona’s popularity will wane now that she’s a full-on lesbian, so they’re overcompensating by slathering the make-up on. She looks like an extra from Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Agreed. Fiona is a very pretty girl but the way they’re applying her make up this season… it just doesn’t do anything for her look.
I love watching Munro Chambers act. He’s really good. I think Eli and Imogen are doing some kind of role playing, like Imogen is pretending to be Clare and urging Eli to let all his anger out on her. Or something.
But I’m excited to see Katie!!! And Adam!!! Eeeek.

It’ definitely a role-play thing. It worries me because in the MM promo Eli says “I never loved you” to Imogen, who is clearly portraying Clare. This makes me sad that Eli never loved Clare. Boooooo.

Wasn’t there supposed to be some story about Riley being pimped out to some sporty girl named Athena by his family? I remember reading that the producers were looking for a middle-aged male actor to play Riley’s dad.

Wow seems pretty CRAZY when Imogen jumps….. my prediction is that when Eli breaks the comp. Imogen walks in and pretends to fall over the cord so that it looks like she crashed the comp. but whats weird is in the first pic is where she introduces herself to Eli after she falls and gets a bloody nose it said she was very dramatic and an attention seeker well that adds up pretty nicely. for some reason im kinda confused if im going to like Imogen she seems totally badass and i LOVE her style the only thing is shes getting in between Eli and Clare’s relationship even tho they both move on anyone can see there not going to be happy only when there together…..idk i’ll just i have to wait and see.
Agreed. Much Music has definitely uped their game when it comes to making degrassi promos.

I’m convinced that the reason Imogen knows so much about Eli is because she has some sort of connection to Julia… I’m probably wrong though, haha.

I am really interested in Imogen. I wonder if she gets to see the real Eli and not the one that Clare knows. Imogen seems like she is trying to help Eli with his break up and other demons. Also I read that Eli throws out his pills to deal with his break up with Clare head on.I remember the PIc with Imogen and Eli with the pills. Maybe Imogen is trying to get him back on his meds. Just a theory

I wish the promos hadn’t given so much away. Having said that, Imogene looks like a wonderful character.
I like the character of Eli, but I felt the plot last season about him crashing his car was bad. Hopefully, he’ll do something actually crazy. (And well-written.) It looks like Imogene could bring that out in him.
And, I agree– Dave is useless. His actor is good. But the character is just there.
I think the Adam plot could have worked much better with Dennis. (Or is it Mo?) Sure, we haven’t seen Mo. But, I’m sure his character would be an interesting type for this story line.

honestly Kary, I think Degrassi related people notice your blog A LOT more than you think lol. A lot f what you’ve blogged about last year’s “Boiling Point” summer blocks has been addressed as far as I’m seeing, although it’s still very, very early into the season.
And…I know Degrassi is all about everything Canadian, but it seems like justin bieber references are necessary in EVERY episode…womp womp.
the bieber references r annoying. idk bout where u are but he never gets and radio time where i live…EVER. not even when he was in town for concert. His popularity only exists on twitter and media references that his label/management pay for. So if Degrassi thinks they must mention the biebs to feel cool, if you’re creeping know that you DONT. You are cooler w/o the mentions.

I’m actually looking forward to seeing what this Imogen character will bring to the table. Actually i think her and Eli will be good together. I am on team EClare but sometimes Clare can be the biggest pain on Earth! How she keeps getting boyfriends I don’t know, she so damn close-minded and has a stick so far up her ass I’m surprised she can take a dump!

Clare closed-minded?? Are you serious?? ELI is the one who’s closed minded– he gave her guff for dancing and wanting to have some fun, for crying out loud! That’s putting on airs– what the hell is wrong with a little freedom? He gave her a hard time about her faith (Jesus, Etc.) and called the dance a “cliche” when that’s all he is– a walking, talking cliche who doesn’t even know himself let alone anyone else. He judges other people a lot. In fact, I have my suspicions that the only reason he clings to Adam is because he’s “different”. Newsflash, everyone is different. They have their own likes and loves– just because one of them happens to fall outside what you think is cool, it doesn’t make it uncool. In fact, binary opposition is what this world is built on– without Clare’s “light” Eli’s “dark” would have no meaning.
That said, I find it absolutely hysterical that people are on here saying that Clare- who is one of the most open-minded, lovable girls- has a stick up her ass. She stuck with Eli through the Fitz feud, the dead girlfriend, and the hoarding. Oh, and she’s best friends with a transgender– yeah, she’s totally close minded! Damn, how can she even walk with that branch up her butt?? How dare she break up with Eli for being a total nutjob and crashing his car so she would come to the hospital. THAT was absurd! Homeboy needs therapy and Clare couldn’t give it to him, case closed.

Yes, Imogen and Eli should be really interesting together. I’m excited to see Eli off his meds. During Love Game I felt so disappointed that he was so monotonous and dead. I love watching his crazy side. I’m not as interested in his romantic/best friend/bad boy side. Seeing him keep losing his shit last spring was what kept me thoroughly interested in the EClare plot.
I’m also excited to see Katie. She seems hilariously bitchy, not like Holly J in season 7, where I just wanted to smack her. Watching her boss Clare around should be entertaining, not because I dislike Clare, which I don’t, but just because it’s classic upperclassmen domineer.
And, lastly, Adam! I missed him. He has such a dry wit and charm and I just love him. :D
Okay. I’m going to shut up now. :P
Looks like another awful Riley plot. He needs to go back to taking steroids and beating Sav up
Riley sucks. I hope him and Zane break up so we can FINALLY see Zane outside of Riley’s shadow. & based on the episode descriptions for the rest of Now Or Never, it looks like this season is mostly Drew-centric. That pisses me off. Lastly, Chantay? She better get her own plot even if it’s not an “A-Plot”.
I personally would like to see MORE of Zane and Riley. We’ve only had a few episodes with them, and I love them together.
& It’s not just Drew. I think that Clare and Eli are still in the big picture, along with some of the seniors, like Holly J & Fiona .. & I also think that a few of the new characters are gonna be a big deal this season too..
& Bahahah. Chantay ? I’m not even kidding .. I’m almost positive that she was supposed to graduate like three years ago. Lmao.
Not focusing on Riley’s athletic accomplishments is idiotic. If he really is a star quarterback, then they should have episodes on that.
At least they do not focus on bands anymore. Because, well, it’s idiotic. Though I’m sure Cassie Steele’s utter lack of talent will be featured on that new show.

If Eli does not come to terms with his mental health issues. I would not be able to ship him with anyone but maybe to a mental health facility. The only way for him to be healthy is stay on his meds.
I hope Dave will take responsibility for his actions about trangenders and learn more about it. I don’t hate dave but a lot of people do not understand it.
I hope Clare does not become a sourpuss with Katie. I have a feeling Katie is purposly making Clare become the theater critic. To help her overcome her break up with Eli.

I can’t wait for the “Dirt of your Shoulder” episodes! Imogen…she seems nice, mysterious, weird, funny, and confused. Such a strange combination that I’m not quite sure what to make of it. Still, I want to find out what she is like. And Eli’s super cute :) So there’s another thing to look forward to. :)
I really love Eli and Clare together, despite his issues. I was hoping she could help him work through them, but apparently not.
Who knows? Maybe when psycho Imogen starts hanging around him it will actually help him. I really have a feeling I’m going to enjoy her character. My first reaction was that I disliked her, being such a huge fan of Eli and Claire. But now I think that is silly. A good character is a good character, right?
Anyway…I was thinking about the end of last season. Where Julia’s picture was also used on the cover of a book and someone stated it was important, as was the fact that the season ended on the anniversary of her death.
Could Imogen really be Julia?
It’s a strange theory, yes. And surely he would recognize her?
But I why give us the information her picture and such were important and then do nothing with it?
My last, real question is if the new characters, like Imogen, were chosen after the episode where her picture was show and Eli shot it.
If so, then that strengthens that theory.
But then again, this isn’t a likely theory. Just one I would like to investigate a little further and one that would make for a very interesting story.
Imogen is not Julia. Degrassi may be outrageous, but it’s not THAT much of a soap opera. Remember: no episodes that are completely dream sequences or flashbacks, no evil twins, and dead characters stay dead.
