Ology.com posted the clip this morning, and they also have information about Season 11 from a TeenNick press release. I haven’t even looked at it yet, but CLICK HERE to read Ology’s official post. My thoughts:
Sav/Keke: since Keke is only appearing in the first episode, I can only imagine it being a short fling. It could also serve as a setup as a way to setup Sav’s character being written off from the show (aka he goes off somewhere be near her), but that’s a stretch at this point.
Jenna/KC/Marisol: Didn’t see this coming, but could you blame me? 99 Problems was a LOOOONG time ago. But this plot becomes way more interesting with a baby in the mix. KC is flawed, but in a good way when it comes to drama; he’s capable of good, but he also very prone to succumbing to the dark side.
Adam/Dave: In one clip Dave’s telling Adam “go for it,” but in another they’re at odds. I’m not exactly sure what to make of their feud as of yet (I’m loosely assuming Katie might be involved), but I’m interested to see what/how/why.
ELI/IMOGEN/JAKE/CLARE LOVE RECTANGLE: I don’t even know where to begin with this. There’s parts I’m interested in, and others I’m not. The one I’m not really into is Cake. Eli/Imogen intrigues me because I want to know what role Imogen is filling in Eli’s life. One of the things I’m interested the most in Season 11 is seeing how EClare’s breakup affects Eli mentally. However, the promo indicates that it’s Clare who suffers emotional backlash. That scene where she yells at Eli out of character, and I can’t wait to see how it goes down (I call it Drop The World Part 3, 4, 5, etc)
Drew/Bianca: In my mind this is their chance to establish themselves as a legit couple. I’ve always seen them as just sort of there, a couple thrown together with little depth. But they’ve been given a serious storyline that will challenge them as a couple, and as individual characters. Let’s hope they can rise to the occasion.

So… its the end of the year for seniors, KC’s cheating (WITH MARISOL OF ALL PEOPLE! SHAME ON YOU KC), Imogen likes Eli, Eli maybe likes Imogen, CAKE, Clare freaking, Sav and Keke?, Dave bumps Adam (curiosity…) Biancas getting stalked by whom Im guessing is Anson, and Drew’s getting jumped, badly. And in the midst of all this……. Riley and Zane are nowhere to be found… as usual (Maybe they havent filmed their eppies yet?) ………this is gonna be one intense summer.

This was so great! It actually took me a while to notice that they hardly show the senior class in this video. Guessing they are focusing on the characters who will still be at Degrassi the rest of season 11.

YES OMG. I totally agree. I thought Season 10 would be this great big thing, what with Clare pulling the death card and all that… the ONLY intriguing episode was My Body is a Cage. This promo looks amazing, and they are actual clips… hopefully not overhyped ones, like KC with a gun which we all knew was nothing in the end.
i know the overhyped you are referring to of seeing KC with a gun which we knew was nothing in the end, and i feel u on it, but i just started watching degrassi during the season when farrah came to the prom with sav so i don’t really remember the rush of seeing someone with a gun and thinking “whats going to happen?” but when you think about it, thats what the producers want is people to watch the show more and see if someone does get shot… i think the writers are way overdue for a murder/suicide/death story line as creepy as i sound i think we all watch just to wonder if someone gets hurt (i know ive had many imaginations of how jenna or chantay could get hurt cause i hate them so much lol) and also there has only been 2 people who died in the halls of degrassi (Claude in Degrassi High and Rick in TNG) and 1 off campus death (JT) so i’d say they are way over due

The degrassi writers have COMPLETELY ruined the character KC, and i bet Jenna gets alot of fans this season.
I dont think they ruined his character. I dont like him as much as i did. Hes not as nice and cool as he use to be, but everybody grows up and changes. I use to be the nice guy to everybody and i took everybodys shit, now Im not so nice, i stick up for myself and people consider me a jerk.
and KC has his reasons for cheating,
1. Hes now a father and jenna is prob. going crazy being a newly mom herself
2. He prob. hasn’t gotten any romance with jenna in a long time, prob. sincshe found out she was prego, which is undertsnadable, because theres no time for romance when your 16 & pregnant.
so if KC does Cheat, IF not WHEN because we dont know anything for sure, then i wouldnt blame him for doing so, I know that sounds bad, and I, myself would never cheat on my girlfriend if we were in that situation but I’d understand why KC might cheat.
First of all, it is NEVER right to cheat. Never, EVER. If someone engages into a relationship, they should always commit or else, break it off. Cheating means you do not take others into consideration but only to heed your own selfish needs.
Your post is laced with flaws. Nothing should ever give the reason to cheat, but more of a reason to end the relationship. However, if he was more of a man, I say he would stick with Jenna through thick and thin. Now that is a true man, living up to his responsibilities.
KC is definitely one of the immature characters. Unfortunately, there are plenty of them in high school. I am glad that Degrassi took immaturity into another perspective rather than just pranks, fun and games. KC and Jenna believe they are mature enough, attempt to grow up too fast, and eventually, they realize they are not as mature as they think they are.
i agree and don’t agree with anonymous post, i think its just a girl coming from her own point of view.. but i’m a girl too and i see it from the point of view that kc is a kid and his hormones are running rampant, he grew up without parental figures so he does not regard other peoples feelings as his own, i’m completely on your side about that.. i know its not right to cheat but it doesn’t mean that people wont think about it or act about it. its a touchy subject. the anonymous commenter can go all out about how its wrong to cheat, yes we know its wrong but everyone does it in one way or another, i’ve cheated on my math tests, i got a 90% on one test and my teacher was so proud of me, i was ashamed. hehe.

They said there will be a run for school president and Dave has always been involved in Student Council so I’m guessing Adam might run against him.
I don’t think Dave and Adam run against eachother I think Adam says he wants to get elected for student council, and runs for vice prez or something and Dave gets mad because he doesn’t want to share any type of image with Adam, I’m guessing because he’s transgendered. So he tries to intimidate Adam by pushing him and stuff so he can run down/quit

No offense to anyone who likes Drew/Bianca/Drianca, but the season would start off so strong if Drew died. And sadly, it looks like he’s just going to get jumped badly. Then again, if the writers see soem of their mistakes from seasons 9 and 10, and Drew still dies in Spring Fever despite this promo showing him only getting beat up badly, then I will be extremely impressed.
Besides that, this promo looks amazing. Clare looks like she’s changing a lot.. And I kind of think she loses her virginity because of the scene with her and Jake, buttoning up his shirt.
Anya is turning 18, so maybe it’s time for Dr. Chris again? At least we know what plot is going to be focused on a lot on “What’s my age again”. Maybe he get’s her into cocaine/drugs, which explains her actions during the Fireworks promo?

I am not shocked that KC is about to cheat on Jenna because KC runs when things get to hard and having a baby with an annoying girlfriend is most likely hard. I am also not shocked that Clare is still in love with Eli (not only because he is awesome) because they didn’t break up because she didn’t love him any more it was because he was crazy and obsessive. Right now I am hoping that Kc and Jenna break up and there is a love hexagon between Eli Clare Jenna KC Jake and Imogen. That would be my dream for degrassi because everyone can be with someone and because Eli is crazy, Clare can’t make up her mind, and Jenna and KC have a child. Oh my goodness that would be perfect for me.

I keep rewatching the promo and wondering if this is a device to show that Eclare will eventually get back together (since it’s obvious from both promos that they are not over each other) or that there’s no hope for them left. It could go either way, but knowing Degrassi, they’ll want to favor an Eclare reunion since they love reuniting couples. I’ll be SHOCKED if they go for the latter.

I love how dark the season looks; totally different from a lot of the bright and sunny promos for the Boiling Point. Not really going to speculate too much, but I’m interested in Adam/Dave, Clare screaming at Eli (I really love Eli’s stoic expression as she screams), and definitely the Drew/Bianca plot. Also I spotted Sadie sitting with Dave and Alli right before Clare screams so it makes me skeptical about a Alli/Dave relationship. Lastly, I wonder why Imogen is telling Eli “what have you got to lose”, as though she’s encouraging him to pursue something, and I’m not sure that it’s her she’s referring to, which gave me the idea that maybe Imogen is trying to help Eli with the Clare situation… I don’t know but that would kind of be unexpected… Darn, I promised myself I wouldn’t speculate! =[
If Eli dates that Immogen chick, I may have to throw my TV out my window. She dresses weridly because she wants people to think she’s homeless and intresting, when she’s really NOT (at least that’s what her character bio said…) Not a fan of Cake either. I agreed with everything you said. I honestly think I’m going to find Imogen as a pointless and boring character that’s just there to stir up drama. She kind of annoys me, and the season hasn’t even started! Yet, who am I to judge since it’s just a promo?
I think that Jake’s dad will want Jake to get with Clare, but Jake won’t really want to until they start spending more time together. I’m not a fan of Cake, either. Really, I don’t find this relationship that interesting. As I said before, it’s just a promo, so I’m just saying how I feel when I saw it.
Eclare’s break up is looking really interesting. Even though I hated the break up, I still think I;m going to love their plots. I’m still an Eclare fan (don’t jump me), and I still want them to get back together, but they have things to sort out first. Hopefully, Eli finds the help he needs. Once they have everything sorted out, I really hope they can try their relationship again.
By the way, I’m going to be PISSED if Jake and Clare have sex. First of all, Clare is supposed to wait until marraige. Second of all, not all teenagers do it in high school. Last of all, with Jake? Seriously? *Sighs and shakes head*
I am really hoping this promo isn’t overdramatizing the season, because it really looks good. I think I am really going to love the plots…hopefully. I will miss the characters, too. Heck, I miss Spinner, Emma, Manny, Jane, Peter, Jimmy, and a lot of the older characters, but it is their time to go. Hopefully, the ones who leave this season will make some guest appearances later on.

Yeah, I think their storyline will definitely span over a bunch of episodes. I think during the premiere, that will be their first run-in with Anson and that’s where their beef begins. Then the whole Bianca being stalked thing will probably come after, followed by Drew getting jumped and possibly killed. I’m not sure they’ll try to put that all into the premiere so yeah, you can guess that it’s different episodes.

Just wanted to point out that Eli was not crying. He has a scar by his nose. Also it looks like he has a blackeye. I think Eli is coping in his own way. People keep forgetting he has a form of OCD. So don’t jump the gun. What if Eli and Imogen date. I think Clare and Jake should date. Maybe this might help them figure out if they are meant for each other. Maybe Imogen is trying to help Eli emotionally? Who knows. And KC, I hope he does nothing stupid. Maybe Jenna has postpartum depression.? Just my thoughts.

Imogen and Jake (and Mo+ Katie) are probably just being featured and they were just never shown before like Bianca and Eli didn’t transfer they were just seen then

I think thats because they are tryin to make Dave’s character like the people in high school who can never be taken seriously yet they arre always messing up friendships and relationships
I’m definitely gonna miss the seniors :( I mean Holly J’s class has been in the presence Emma, Manny, Darcy (season 7). I remember Holly J. And Darcy’s almost catfight in the caf–damn Hatzilakos, Holly J. calling Manny a racist, Anya exposing Holly J. eating that cookie, Anya’s little “bring it” spat with HJ, and Chantay…well, she’s been here since the beginning, pretty much, and hasn’t done anything for me to miss her. The only person we have now that we can connect to the old cast is Clare, since she’s Darcy’s little sister. Anyway, I’m hoping for an intense and a darker season similar to season 7. I ♥ Degrassi!

But Sav definitely will go with her to be some kind of backup musician. It would be a good way to get rid of him, while making sense.
