Instead of doing characters again next year I think it’d be awesome to do a Best Episodes Tournament. There’s been a lot of very good episodes that stick out. You could probably do a brief description of each episode to remind everybody what happened in them. I think it’s be a very good tournament idea
As for this tourney, it’s just crazy at this point. Eli & Clare haven’t even been a couple long enough to be in the finals (Which they will) & I never liked Sean & Emma. Personally my final four would’ve been Palex, Jiberty, Crashley & Parcy. I like the last few seasons but the main thing that the first cast has over the new one is couples. The couples in the old cast were much better developed & had way better focus
those are old couples from previous years. I think that eli and clare DO belong in the final four considering that they are currently a couple.
I’m sad that it’s probably gen I top couple vs. gen II top couple…so predictable…:/
Go Semma! It’s obviously going to be Semma vs. Eclare in the end. Should be epic. I don’t see how it’s predictable. These two are Degrassi’s most popular couples. It makes sense that it would end up this way.

The writers changed the new character Noah’s name to Jake. Apparently, he and Clare were close friends at one point, and their parents want them to rekindle their friendship.

Okay, we all knew this would happen, EClare vs. Semma. Both couples have hugh fanbases and both have their haters. It will be an interesting matchup.
Both couples have been emotionally developed in totally different ways. EClare was very much developed as individuals who lean on each other for support whereas Semma was developed as the primier pair in which neither is happy without rhe other.
However, the funny thing is the couple/character similarity. Emma and Clare are both good girls who bad things happen to. Sean and Eli are both dark/bad boys who are troubled and want Clare and Emma to save them.
This isn’t fully a new vs. old generation Degrassi. It’s more of a newer generation of couples vs. older generation of couples. This means the way the individual characters act towards their other half. Semma (crazy as it sounds) is an older style pairing. EClare is a more advanced newer way of pairing.
In the end, it is really going to come down to which couple has the least amount of haters voting for the other.
I won’t vote because i enjoy the storylines both couples hve recieved; however, neither couple is my absolite favorite (in general or over the other). But I am looking forward to seeing the results and finding out the winner.

Just some random questions. 1) does paige have AIDS? its really bugging me now -.- 2) isnt Anya supposed to have dyslexia? they only mentioned it one time back in season 7. 3) have they ever had an official diabetes storyline? cuz i seriously think they should. 4) am i the only one who wonders if trina said yes to jimmy? 5) did jimmy get stem cell surgery? 6) when are we gonna see Zanes supposed mad soccer skills? 7) when are we gonna see adams mad bass skills. he could be all scott pilgrim! @Kerrin, I hate Semma too, but it’s better than the disgusting Spemma (I actually hate all Emma couples, but that’s because Emma is such a loathsome character). I still voted for Semma just to take points away from EClare.

Haha!! Next season I don’t think there’s a dress code anymore cuz one of the cast tweeted something about a new and amazing wardrobe (I think it was Annie Clark, which means Fiona gets her style/fashion back which means no more dress code).
As much as i love Eclare, Semma will always be my favorite just because this is only the begining of eclare, only one season, sean and emma were from season 1! Both really connected on an emotional level which makes them a better couple than only ones attrated by looks. I just hope that semma will win because they didnt end up together so them winning here will make me happy! ans eclare still have a chance to end up together so semma is my vote! but both deserve it!
Really? I can see how semma connected on an emotianal level but I still think eclare and sellie are the couples that REALLY TRULY connected emotianally. I hope by saying that semma connected emotionally you didnt mean that eclare did not cause its so obvious that they did and still do.

I’m not Ziley’s biggest fan because Zane doesn’t really do much. I need both characters to have three dimensions and flaws. From what I’ve seen, whenever there’s conflict in a relationship, it’s always, always, ALWAYS Riley’s fault. Can’t Zane make a few mistakes every once in a while?
With Marco and Dylan, Dylan wasn’t a main character so we didn’t see him much, but at least we knew a bit more about where he came from. And their relationship was more even: they both made mistakes.
So, yeah, definitely going with Eclare. Though I will say that I’d much prefer for Eclare to have less screentime and for Ziley to have more.
Ziley would need more screen time to show more of Zane, which isn’t possible because Eclare are tv-hogging whores.

But what we have seen from Ziley has been pretty much the same thing. Riley is struggling to come out while Zane is either being supportive or offended by something Riley has done.
I’m starting to think that the writers have no other ideas on what to do with these characters. And it wouldn’t require more screentime to have Zane make a mistake or two.
@B – I think one mistake Zane did make is that he ran to go make his ex-boyfriend feel better before talking to Riley, his current boyfriend. It’s not that big of a deal, but it got me a little mad at him.

I thought the chasig pavements subplot was about Eli and Clare since this is the last two episodes before drop the world . An they still have so many scenes that they haven’t shown which would be hard to show in 2 episodes (drop the world) ?!
