Monday 3/14 was the first day of shooting of Season 11, but they still can’t confirm anything yet because TeenNick hasn’t officially picked up Degrassi for another season. It’s funny and annoying at the same time. Degrassi is the reason TeenNick had its most-watched year ever (2010). Heck, Degrassi’s the only reason the network gets ratings to begin with, so whether or not they’re going to bring back the only relevant show the network has is a no brainer…stop screwing around TeenNick and just make it official already.

I started watching during season 9 but I’ve gone back and seen every episode:) and I agree, Jimmy/Ashley weren’t a great couple but I mean them vs creepy Internet stalker? The choice is simple! Also, I can’t believe Rick/ Terri even have votes!
I actually liked Jimmy and Ashley but only when they were younger when they got older Ashley was just annoying

Honestly, I think people are choosing Connor/Lovequeen16 because the idea of them together and moreso, winning, is hilarious, hahah, not because the actual couple makes sense.

I find it scary that Spemma has 77% of the votes. Sure, Damian/Emma was a crappy couple too, but still…

@Babe, no. After Sean, she dated Chris, then Peter. Then she got back together with Sean and cheated on him with Damian while he was away (yes, that DOES count as cheating).
For the most part this was a no brainer, except for johnny/Alli going up against eclare, Johnny and alli where my favorite couple of all time. And I have been with Degrassi since it first premier in the states, back in the day when it was still on Noggin and before the-n(now teennick). They stand no chance! oh well, at least I get to see a johnny/alli reunion on next weeks episode B)

Dolly J and Fadam are wayyyy too close for comfort… And choosing between Kenna and Peter/Mia was painful. Talk about two of the worst couples in Degrassi history… it was like picking the lesser of the two evils. Also, kinda wondering why Marco/Dylan is giving Cranny a run for their money. I don’t necessarily like Cranny, but I feel like that relationship is legendary. Oh, and I think Ziley has a strong chance of advancing far. Unlike Eclare, that couple has virtually no haters.
I can’t believe I just did that. Something came over me and I voted for Johnny and Alli instead of ECLARE <3 idk what happened back there. I think i like johnny haha!

I agree. I’m not a big Johnny/Alli fan but they did get it though. As for Fadam vs. Dolly J, its Coyne against Coyne and BFF vs. BFF. I just want Fadam to win cuz it has Adam.

True, like drew/Bianca drew/ali kc/Jenna. BUT I think eclare is a great couple because unlikemany couples, they bonded on an emotional level.
Sorry for the confusion. Not all of them are bad. I just don’t want there to be biased voting because many of the voters are people who have only very recently started watching. I was biased myself once. I started with season 10, but then I went and watched every episode ever and I like the old ones more.
i voted for some old and new couples. my favorite couple is and always will be is semma. Sean is my favorite character of all time!

I’m thinking that some of the voting wasn’t of the “Ooh, these people are so perfect for each other” variety but that they might have just found one storyline more interesting than another. That would to me explain how Rick/Terri or Connor/Lovequeen16 got any points.

These polls made me miss the old Degrassi days back when Joey and Caitlin were on the show. Made me realize I like a lot of the old classic couples.
So feeling you on this. It makes me want to go back and watch series-defining couple episodes like “Holiday” and “Should I Stay Or Should I Go?”. Although I think when this show finally ends, people will look back on current powerhouse couples like Eclare and Ziley and appreciate them in the same way.
I’m mad all the Alli based couples are against such stronger couples when they could beat like most of the other ones >__>
Regardless I thought Eclare would completely demolish but Johnny and Alli are actually holding above 25% which could mean later on a couple like JT/Liberty or Semma could kick their ass lol

most of my favorites were in the same division. I’m not even a big fan of Palex. And I would have gladly picked an actual couple over Ellie/Marco, but oh well.
