Helloooooo Kary here bearing gifts!!! A revised list of the episode descriptions. I’m just adding the MSN desciptions to the list, as well as adding NEW descriptions for 1009 – 1012. The 4 newest ep. descriptions come from The-Kyle over at CableTVTalk. Oh, and to the owner of the Degrassi Season 10 Facebook Page (because I know you’re reading this)….could you please not copy and paste my blog posts verbatim on your website? 1001 – What A Girl Wants (1)
Holly J is back for her senior year at Degrassi with a mission. President of the student body equals entrance to Yale and Declan’s life. But when Sav decides to run against her, HJ will do anything to get votes, no matter how ruthless?
(via MSN) Holly J returns from leaving Declan in New York City to attend Vanderbilt Prep; Fiona has a new boyfriend.
1002 – What A Girl Wants (2)
Fiona is doing great after her “break” in the Hamptons… new outlook, new boyfriend… But when shining knight Bobby turns out to have a few anger issues, will anyone believe that Fiona isn’t just being dramatic… again!?
(via MSN) Fiona discovers that Bobby is abusive and unfaithful; Holly J worries about her re-election; Alli and Dave share a moment.
1003 – Breakaway (1)
Fiona cannot handle the scrutiny in New York and runs to the only friend she can trust. Holly J and Sav go at it in a debate and Holly J panics.

1004 – Breakaway (2)
Sav has a final chance to stand up to his class president supporters about Anya’s pregnancy secret…and to his parents about his relationship with Anya. Holly J has to decide if she’s willing to risk friendships to get into Yale.

1005 – 99 Problems (1)
Riley will do anything to win the QB position on the football team. But when his rival, Drew, threatens to “out” him, Riley is forced to take matters into his own hands. Alli tries out for the Power Squad.

1006 – 99 Problems (2)
Riley takes his feud with Drew too far, putting his position on the football team and relationship with Zane in jeopardy. Alli starts a Dance Troupe to rival the Power Squad.

1007 – Better off Alone (1)
KC’s mom shows up to win back custody but is KC ready to give her a second chance? Clare’s new English partner helps her confront her parents’ marital problems.

1008 – Better off Alone (2)
KC hangs with a tougher crowd to cope with his mom’s return. But the mischief he gets into with his new buds may change his life forever. Eli convinces Clare to express her family frustrations through her writing.

Sav is desperate to prove to his parents that he is responsible. And it works…until honesty suddenly stops seeming like the best policy. Jenna obsesses over her weight for the upcoming Power Squad Calendar photo shoot.
1010 – I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself (2)
Sav makes one bad decision that could cost him his presidency and parents’ trust. Jenna tries diet pills and suffers humiliating results.
1011 – Try Honesty (1)
Holly J’s job search becomes the least of her worries when she finds incriminating photos of Declan. Can their long distance relationship really work? Dave, Wesley, and Connor form a band to get girls.
1012 – Try Honesty (2)
Declan offers financial help to Holly J . But when she starts to feel like a kept woman, Holly J must choose between her relationship with Declan and her self-respect. Eli comes up with a plan to put an end to Fitz’s bullying.

Great plots so far. They definitely seem better than season 9. The only thing I’m kinda mad about is that they are make yet ANOTHER band. Really? How many bands can you have in one school?
Yeah, I know, right? But, I have the feeling that they’re band is NOT going to work out. Maybe Dave, if he is good, but only him as one. Wesley? Just…too nerdy for that. And Conner…Well, he’s just not socially ready for that, and I don’t know how well he could do, and I’m not saying this to be mean about him having aspergers syndrome because my brother is autistic, so I’m just saying from experience with someone like that….
Too nerdy to be in a band? Believe it or not many successful rock bands have nerds as members.

Yes Eli! Get Fitz right together. I didn’t like Fitz in season 9 even though he was only in 1 episode, but in that one episode he came off as a big mouthed ass
He was actually in like 3 episodes, but still I totally agree with you…he had that “If he spoke anymore I would hate his guts vibe”! LOL
yah Fitz was in 3 episodes Beat It part 1 & 2 and Shoot to Thrill
Can’t wait! I wasn’t crazy about the new younger cast when they first showed up, but I’m starting to appreciate that they allow the show to recycle old plots and bring the show back to more realistic high school problems and experiences (parents’ divorce, friends who are bad influences, student government, dumb things teenage girls do to lose weight) as opposed to contrived and unbelievable “and then there was a turf war and JT got stabbed to death” plots from years past.

Seriously? They have 1 thing in common and now Jenna is the new Emma? How stupid. I hate the whole “____ is the new ____” thing!
@Holiday I couldn’t have said it better myself, one little storyline and x____ is the next x____, first they said Clare was like Emma, but obviously they’re turning into complete opposites…the worst one I recently heard was Fiona is the next Terri because her bf is hitting her, like Terri was the only girl in universe to ever get hit by her bf.
if anything i thought season 10 Jenna sounded more like Paige with the Power Squad and showing her mean side.
You can find a lot of similar things between these characters and the characters of a few years back. KC starts hanging with a rough crowd – doesn’t that sound like what Sean started to do in his third season? Jenna has eating problems just like Emma. Jenna and KC are dating just like Emma and Sean did. Admit it, there are a lot of similarities.
Of course it’s not EXACTLY the same, but the similarities warrant a discussion about not being able to come up with any new ideas.
And before you yell at me saying, “Well there are tons of new things this time around!” I agree with you! Yes, we’ve never had a transgender before. I get it. But how many school president elections and formations of bands do we have to sit through before we say enough is enough?

Yeah, I agree, there are many similarities. BUT, you have to remember that each grade has the same types of people. Every grade has their bad boy, prep, jock, nerd, religious people, punk, goody-two-shoes, etc. So yes, every character is going to be very similar to someone in a past season. If you look at any high school, it’s the exact same way. The people are completely different, but their titles will be the same.
Also, plots would be similar too. Because for one, there have been 9 seasons with different plots, and how many more plots can you think of? I mean, there are only so many things that you can do for a story until you have to reuse them. The people will have different backgrounds and personalities but, again, they will be similar to people in past episodes and seasons.
yeah jenna is not the new emma, emma didn’t take diet pills, toby did.
@Gianna – I don’t have a problem with there being similar characters. You’re right, every grade has a cool kid, an a**hole, a nerd, etc. But to be using the same plot points is inexcusable. Normal shows cease to exist when they start doing that (i.e., they are canceled). Degrassi, apparently, will exist forever. I remain faithful and loyal to this show, but it really grinds my gears most of the time.
@shaquira – But Emma was bulimic. And did Toby actually take pills? I forget. I thought he was just anorexic. Regardless, you have proven my point. This will be the third time Degrassi tackles “eating issues.” Each scenario offers a little twist on the general subject, but each are not completely unique.

Well, I didn’t mean reuse the EXACT same plots and stories. Lol. That would be horrible. I just meant, like, the same idea. As in, the presidential elections, because every year schools do that…..and for example, the whole teen pregnancies. Right now, I know about five different high school girls that are pregnant. You know what I’m saying?
Ohh yeahh. Btw, Emma was anorexic. Remember in the second part of “Our Lips Are Sealed” where she’s in the hospital and the doctor tells either Snake or Spike (I can’t remember which one) that she was diagnosed with anorexia? And, Toby did take pills. He kept taking them and not eating, and he even threw up a bit too. In the stalls, and that’s where JT comes in and hears him and Toby says it was just from the food. And Toby got the pill idea when JT was telling him in the drug store about what these non-over the counter pills did, And Toby got them after JT left the store.
Toby didn’t take any pills, he just took laxatives and wouldn’t eat, and the one time he did eat, he made himself throw it up.

Ohh.. Ok, that’s what they were. All I knew is that they were some-what of pill-like things. Lol.
I think the whole complaint about re-using storylines can be argued against, tho, ’cause I personally have never thought that I was watching the exact same episode/plotline twice with this show. It’s about a high school, so it’s bound to recycle issues that are relevant to high scholers, but each time it’s done in a unique and different way because each character deals with things differently. Emma’s anorexia plotline was mainly about how she wanted control over her life after her parents marriage started going buggy, and it looks like Jenna’s is more about physical insecurity; also, she’s using diet pills and not over-exercising/not eating. Other plots, like rape, pregnancy, abuse, and otherwise warrant rebirths because they’re such powerful and complex issues that can be handled in a number of ways (for Paige, the rape was about losing control for once and life not meeting her expectations, she took it hard but ended up handling it in a mature way and struggling periodically; for Darcy it was about her sacred purity being stolen from her and as the shows religious character this affected her massively, leading to a season-long downward spiral into darkness and near-insanity). I get that class elections aren’t so deep, but I like that they actually involve the whole school and consider it a good start to season ten. Also, this episode seems to really be about the election, while Family Politics was more about the Kerwin-Issacs family clashing and followed Toby and King of Pain was more about Marco’s sexuality and followed the aspect of his insecurity with that.

I am getting uneasy with this, I have a feeling Degrassi is turning into Skins, where Each character gets it’s own episode for the whole season..
I would actually love that….because i’m the biggest skins fan, and degrassi has the ability to out do skins very easily…they just dnt (for what reason we will never find out).
they have subplots…and if u think like that exactly the same as the other seasons. the main plot usually involves 1-3 characters

I like skins but I would like to see Fiona’s abuse plot continue not just end in breakaway, and if Anya is pregnant it takes longer than an episode (unless she didn’t know it, which would be EPIC!)
Also where the heck is Leia, she was supposed to have a big role like Fiona’s, but Fiona’s been in 3 episodes, maybe that’s why………
fiona’s abuse is suppose to continue! judging from the episode desciptions shes suppose to go to court and testify against bobby but she takes medicine and the fact shes medicated puts a strain on her story and her credibility.

Well if that’s her secret why would KC break up with her for that? He let go of her hand after the “doesn’t know her own secret part”. Unless they’re frying to say KC’s got a thing for big girls lol
Yeah, these descriptions seem pretty bland. But they ARE just brief summaries, so the actual events that occur may actually be cool. I still hate that this season has 48 episodes. They did the right thing by making ONE season ONE school year again, but then screwed it up by making the season length that of 2 season 7′s. That’s another reason why these descriptions seem less than interesting – there’s so many episodes and characters to cover that it gets boring. IN TODAY’S EPISODE, JENNA SNEEZES….IN TOMORROW’S EPISODE, KC SAYS BLESS YOU…IN THE THIRD INSTALLMENT, CLARE SAYS ‘HAHA YOU’RE SICK’. I could be totally wrong though.
But yeah, where is Adam? “My Body Is A Cage” (i think that’s what it’s called) sounds like the perfect title to an Adam episode.
Also, I can’t believe Declan’s gonna be in NY for the first episodes. I know Annie Clark mentioned he will be in the WHOLE season, but very little. So I guess that confirms he will be making brief appearances from NY and will not actually be returning to the school. This kinda sucks, Declan was a cool character.

Degrassi has been absolutely awful in character development in the past few seasons. A few more seasons to work with might be good for the writers. They do have a huge freakin’ cast, after all.
Interesting episodes. But I’m tired of Dave having silly and useless sub-plots, heck, I’m tired of OTHER characters having silly and useless subplots. Nonetheless, Season 10 looks VERY exciting but I just think they could have made the subplots, escpecially for Dave, ” go there” more. This Season is going to be the best yet. I know it.

Haha. I’m sure it was the former. Also, I agree. Keep On Loving You wasn’t all that interesting, but, meh. I think it’s only purpose was to be a bridge to the movie. The B-plot was the dumbest thing ever though.
I enjoyed Keep On Loving You. But I would have liked it better if the B-plot wasn’t so horrible. But I love Holly J and Declan.
I think it was a nice bridge for the movie, but didn’t serve as a season finale really, even though I know the movie is technically the season finale.

I tweeted Stephen Stohn about that and he said that the first 24 episodes WILL air through the summer and the remaining 24 episodes WILL start airing at the end of September/early October and will air thoughout the remainder of the year. And every storyline DOES NOT end at part 2 it continues throughout the entire season. And he said that there WILL be LOTS of SHOCKING surprises. It’s a mixture of shocking, laughing, crying, and silence. He also said that this is the BEST Degrassi to him.
Wow. Considering that, to me, the first few seasons of Degrassi The Next Generation were amazing to me. So, if he says that Season 10 is the best to him, the writer, then I think that we should be ten times more excited than before.
Well it looks like Chantay and Leia are probably going to get shafted yet again this season. Also ANOTHER band…ugh. We’ve only had 3 seasons without a band (1,2, and 6) which I find pretty ridiculous.

KC not wanting to go back to his mom. I can’t help but to refer to Sean. I’m not saying that they are repeating Sean’s story, because they are obviously two completely different plots. But Sean’s face immediately popped into my head when I read that.
Hmm, wonder why Clare’s ‘perfect’ parents are fighting? (Not saying that Clare says they are perfect, I’m just saying because her parents are always pushing Darcy and Clare about their religion and doing the right thing.)

So it seems like Fiona does something crazy to make people stop believing her. Then, when her new boyfriend’s abusive side starts to show, people have trouble believing her. Sounds pretty interesting .
So, I’m going to go far on an assumption . Jenna is the one that has OCD . She’s becoming obsessed with her weight, she thinks KC is looking at other girls(which he is , Bianca), and is losing it . So, the secret she doesn’t know about herself is maybe that she has a disorder ?
Holly j is going to try being a dancer/striper i remember one of the producers saying that she was gonna do a dirty dancin during a interview with the cast and stuff for the new drake cd …they joked that they should use a song from the cd.
Oh! Lol that makes sense. I think the family’s going to have even more of a financial crisis this year. Oh well desperate times call for desperate measures I suppose…
Despite me being disappointed that Adam isn’t mentioned yet, I refuse to judge the episodes by their descriptions. I just looked up the descriptions of some of my favorite episodes, and they don’t sound all that exciting, but, as it turned out, the episodes were still really great. Also – take note – the MSN descriptions listed 3 plots per episode, so we’re still missing a plot from each of these. Even if they’re too small to be mentioned, a plot is a plot and I’m totally looking forward to each and every one of them.
Incriminating photos of Declan? ELI HAS A PLAN FOR FITZ?? What is my baby Eli going to do? Ok end fangirl. But seriously, this is getting better and better. I’m not fond of Jenna, I wonder what her humiliating results will be. Ugh, all this suspense is driving me completely insane.
I dunno, I’m thinking maybe she takes that alli pill and gets unexpected runny diarrhea all over herself at school. Unfortunately, I am speaking from experience here :(

when Jenna split KC and Clare up in ”Heart Like Mine” she was acting WAY to innocent…..i feel like in s10 Jenna will show her true colors!!!!!
maybe that will be the secret! maybe jenna acts all innocent cuz shes one of those girls that don’t realize how mean they are. and after starting the rumor and getting humilated she will see how mean she is and stop denying it. then being the mean girl, she starts controlling KC and her weight (and getting a little OCD) which will cause KC to be seeking other girls. now thats just a guess from all the info on here about her.
Well, with the diet pills plot, it looks like we’ll at least be getting a look at a different side of her, with more insecurity and helplessness. I’m the opposite of a Jenna fan at the moment, but I’m hoping she’s fleshed out throughout the season and becomes more than just the girl who stole KC.

Well now we know that Holly J and Declan don’t break up in Degrassi Takes Manhattan.
I seriously just peed in my pants from excitement! lol (metaphorically speaking) This is probably the realest Degrassi has ever gotten I mean don’t get me wrong the past seasons were awesome but this recent cast has really got it going on. The characters are ranging from gender issues and problems to maybe an OCD incident I mean Alli is probably the most stereotypical character out of everyone to be honest (rebelling against her family’s beliefs, becoming very sexual to do so). But I digress I’m very excited to say the least and am ready for July 16 & 19th to come ALREADY! lol
I can’t wait to see if Eli and Clare EVER get together :) Wonder what kind of plan Eli has to stop Fitz’s bullying. Jenna seriously you’re kinda fat but stop ruining Clare’s life !!!!!

Cool I wonder if Clare gets darker since her parents may be getting divorced? Also of course K.C. and his mom wanting to be back in his life. But what’s the double standard? Could it be Holly J and Sav running against each other? That’s the only thing I could think of…(also internet safety, what’s that about?)
Yeah I was wondering about those issues too….will Clare follow her sister’s lead with the internet thing? (sorry thats the only thing I could think about!) lol and I know this is pretty petty..but I wonder when Teennick is going to update their site with actual Season 10 info?

That’s interesting. Here are my thoughts:
Divorce: Clare’s parents. The whole ‘marital problems’ thing.
Bullies: A couple different people come to mind. Fitz and Adam. Bianca and Fitz with the losers list (Dave), Fitz bullying Eli..and that’s all I could think of. Wait a minute..I see a pattern. Everything is all centering around….Fitz. Haha, I can’t believe I just now registered that.
Gender Identity: Adam, which everyone knows that.

I read that too, I also found it interesting it said that four fresh faces will join the junior class this year, I thought Adam was going to be a sophmore, but I guess it makes sense that there all juniors since everyone else is either a sophmore or a senior and they need some characters in the junior class to balances things out.

I love him too, but obviously his plan is gonna fail since Fitz is seen with Owen bullying Adam in the bathroom and throwing him into a glass door. This must happen after these episodes, because I think it would be considered a main plot and it wasn’t mentioned in any of these descriptions yet.
yeah, also, in some of the promos, there’s a fight scene, and it looks to me as if it’s Eli getting beat up by Fitz. Some people think it’s KC, but now i really think it’s Fitz.

I think Jenna is going be the next Toby and Emma. When the ‘Sharks in the Water’ Promo when it said, “The Girl Who Doesn’t Know Her Secret.” I think they are going to go through another eatting disorder issue. I thought the ‘Lips Are Sealed’ was intersting, but i thought the ‘Mirror in the Bathroom’ was 10x better. I would love to see an eatting disorder with a guy, but i want it to last long through the season (Connor?) Connor would be good for the part, since he hasn’t had a story line since ‘the one with him and dave’ But that was a B-Plot.

i have some pretty good ideas if the writers are running out of storylines. for example, they could have a cult or have a cougar situation with one of the students, maybe a true adoption story instead of like derek where he just says he was adopted and its over. if they need a mental disorder, schizophrenia is a good one. just a few of my ideas that i use on my own degrassi fanfic. anybody agree?

Tbh i like Jose’s theory about Jenna becoming a lesbian or bi-sexual. I love the whole Paige/Alex storyline in season 5-7… Why? it was interesting and unique(I love Alex btw). Plus it would spice things up…But it looks like she might have an STD….About the whole Declan and Fiona incest thing… i have mix feelings about that.. Sometimes when kids have parents who are always working or moving place to place like they did, it’s must be hard for them because you make friends then you to move again which sucks. Maybe that’s what keeps them so close, but who knows..anyways.. I’m really excited about the Adam storyline because it’s something new to Degrassi.. Adam might be either FTM(female to male) or a GenderQueer.. In the show Claire and Darcy are sisters so it’s only natural for her to be the next Darcy.
I feel like Degrassi writers are getting uncreative. None of these episodes sound unique or exciting. Plus, I find it hard to deal with the new characters, especially the girls. I miss unique characters like Terri or Manny… it’s so hard to identify or empathize with Fiona when she’s pretty and rich. Or to identify with Jenna, who’s a skinny little [censored]… I want real people with real problems! That’s what made the show good to begin with. These days, I feel like I’m watching a baby Gossip Girl.
I have a theory about why Sav was screaming, maybe its because he found out that Anya was pregnant. I just thought about that. Think about it, they had a pregnancy scare before, he thought it was over and then he finds out that she’s pregnant. That would be enough to take anyone of the edge. She probably isn’t pregnant, but it that could be the reason why. Tell me what you guys think.
I’m super excited! The promo’s look fantastic, and yes, the promos dont have an “OMG” factor, but they really couldnt unless it gave away major details or spoilers. I think that even past episodes that have been known for being very exciting o intense didn’t have descriptions that made people jump out of their seats. How exciting can a few sentences get? They ARE just short little teases.
I’m still happy with these plotlines. They seem a lot better than the past two or three seasons. I think his might end up being my favorite season:)
