Yay, this is exactly what I wanted…an announcement about an announcement. [/sarcasm] At least he gave us something forward to, but realize that’s March 11 is still a month away. :-/ Also, don’t forget SEASON 10 begins shooting in March too. The closer we get, the antsier I become.
We all know that the announcement will be about “the new thing” for season 10. I just hope that the Exec. Producer isn’t making a big deal out of nothing cause I will be so disappointed if the difference about season 10 isn’t that much different at all. Also, Kary, do you know where we will be able to watch or listen to the announcement when it is made? Or will the announcement be made through his Twitter account?
He’ll mention it on his twitter I’m sure, but details of the announcement will probably be revealed through a press release.

Do you think part of it’ll be DOUBLE the amount of episodes? Or maybe double the usual amount of characters. And possibly the majority of the original cast from the first five seasons will all appear? All recurring characters that had major roles, but never became a main character, will be??? Sorry for being rude, jenna. It’s just that those season nine plotlines are becoming more believable by the day. And they explain a lot of things. Why do johnny and bruce get into a fight? He makes fun of johnny’s love for alli. Family tragedy+darcy’s return from africa=family death. In why can’t this be love, why can’t sav trust anya anymore? She lied about being pregnant. And why did charlotte and shane kiss in the promo, and holly j. Says: ill never break your heart? Jane cheats on spinner. Again.
And also: why would riley be in season 10 AT ALL? Either he goes to toronto u. With Peter, and they tell about their goings-on their, he becomes sam’s boyfriend(which is the BEST way to go about this) which results in them becoming co-lifeguard instructors, or… He fails, which is highly unlikely do to the fact that in your eyes probably takes place like a week before the rest of my life, and everyone knows: you dont find out youre failing a WEEK before summer vacation, especially if youre supposed to be graduating.

James Tiberius Yorke(Ghost Of Degrassi Past), Mia Jones(Just can’t get enough), marco(heart like mine), liberty(probably the movie), Darcy(innocent when you dream, movie, or both), Jimmy Brooks( i saw this confirmed somewhere other than wiki, he DOES walk again. And in a deleted scene, trina says yes!, Ellie(The Rest Of My Life), Paige(The Rest Of My Life), Toby Isaacs(probably the finale.)

It’s been confirmed that most of the people from the original seasons WILL appear in the movie! Degrassi Goes Hollywood was more like an update to the lives of Marco, Ellie, and Paige. This time it seems to be a reunion for the original peeps!
Here is a confirmed list of people that will appear in the movie(so far): Emma Nelson, Manny Santos, Jimmy Brooks, Ellie Nash, Spinner Mason, Holly J. Sinclair, Jane Vaughn, Declan Coyne, Fiona Coyne
My guess is that, based on what Stephen Stohn said, Sean Cameron, Toby Isaacs, Paige Michalchuk, Hazel Aden, Ashley Kerwin, Terri Macgregor, Marco Del Rossi, Ellie Nash, Craig Manning, and Kendra Mason will all be making appearances as well. Although im surprised to see who does and does not show up. Just KNOWING that the majority of the original cast will be appearing is enough to make you wanna EXPLODE!!!

I think it’s very possible for these “spoilers” to be some what correct just based on common sense(hints given in promos), but if one or two are in fact “real” then I feel it is purely coincidence. Whoever put those on wiki obviously did their research and made up some pretty well thought out and plausible SL’s, but I honestly think that’s the truth. Someone MADE THEM UP. We’ll find out soon enough if they’re real or not so lets just wait and see:)

This is what i think: in What A Girl Wants, Holly J. Has been with spinner for four whole months. They love each other and they’re ready to make love. After this, Holly J. Feels that spinner is getting too clingy, and they begin to grow apart. When declan stops by to visit jane, holly j. Cheats on spinner with declan. Eventually, she knows she’ll have to choose between the two of them, but for now they decide to keep it a secret. Unfortunately, the freeze frame closes in on Jane spying on them from outside the bedroom window.
That is pretty much what happened in 904/906 just reversing Jane and Holly J.’s characters….like exactly(except for Jane and Spinner going out for more than 4 months)

wow you guys are on a roll here. just checked out the Degrassi Wikia… it’s hard to know what to believe. All I know is, I’ve been petitioning a suicide plotline with Stephen & Stefan for a while now. When I heard they were brainstorming for S. 10 I begged & begged. It’s basically the ONLY thing from original 80s Degrassi they have not replicated. And it would be the best… I guess I’m macabre, but I would so love a suicide plotline. That would be enough to make S. 10 my favorite. Plus, it’d be a much needed “go there” plotline. The alternate title of the eppy could be “How Degrassi Got Its Groove Back.” Haha.
I’d LOOOOOOOVE if they did a suicide storyline like they did in the original. My only worry is that they’d “soften” the storyline and make it less intense. It could easily be an episode that’s way heavier than Time Stand Still or Rock This Town.
I totally agree, but I’m not sure if any current cast member as of now has had any real motivation to commit suicide and I wouldn’t want a newbie to be the one either because that’s just IMO a waste of a character just to do a suicide plot. Plus it would mean a lot more if it was someone we’ve seen for years and would actually make us sad. (Like with J.T.)

Okay, on wikipedia it says that new episodes of Degrassi will be returning for America and Canada on March 11th, which is exactly a month from now-thank god february only has 28 days!!! Since the wikipedia page has been blocked all of the info must be true. What doesn’t make sense is that March 11th is a Thursday and they usually don’t show new episodes then. Since March 11th is the day the Exec. Producer will release the info about Season 10 I’m guessing that during or after the new episodes they will say what the info about Season 10 is. EXCITING!!!!!!

Wikipedia is not a reliable website for information on Degrassi, as I have been able to edit it. It has been confirmed that the old Degrassi cast will not be returning for this season besides Liberty who will make an apperance. The movie, unlike DGHollywood, is a season finale movie for the new cast, where DGH was for the old cast, Shenae Grimes (Darcy), is working on 90210 and will not be returning for at least this season, Aubrey Grahm (Jimmy), has not had contact with any of the Degrassi cast since the casting issue back in season 8. He also will NOT be returning. As for the rest of the old cast, besides Emma, Manny, Liberty and Marco, there has been no information revealed about them returning for the finale, and I see no part for them to fit in anyway. Okay, here is what we know so far about Season 10:
1) It will partially take place during the summer. (So we can assume the season will start in August or early September)
2) It will not be an hour-long show, but many of the episodes will be two-parters.
3) There will be about four new characters.
Now lets make a list of all the different thing that we think could be part of the big news. I’ll start by saying things that have already been said and add my own ideas. Then everybody can add there own thoughts. But in the end the big new will probably be something so simple that no one thought about it.
1) Old Characters return. (From Degrassi High and DTNG)
2) More Episodes.
3) They are going back to each season being a full school year instead of semesters.
4) An episode in 3D.
5) TeenNick is going to be added as a cable channel so more people will be able to watch Degrassi.
6) Each episode will include someone famous.
7) The show will go by a new name.
8) The show will be playing in more countries and/or the spin-off will take place in a country other than Canada.
9) They will have some crossover episodes with another show.
Now it’s your turn to give some ideas!!! :)

OMG!!! I think Riley comes out! On Argiris’s twitter, he clearly states that although Riley ISN’T in the movie, towards the end of the season, we’ll get to see a brand new SIDE of him! Not to get all lovey-dovey, but it would be so CUTE to finally see him find someone! Im rooting for him and sam! Im not gay, but they would be so cute together!

Well, on the Degrassi Season 9 wikipedia page, nothing past start me up is listed. The degrassi wiki and degrassi wikipedia are two different things. Like i said before, i forget where i found that jimmy thing out, but im not lying. And all the imdb spoilers are fake. For example: anya goes to muslim land and stumbles upon a cursed emerald. Leia’s legs fall of before a dance recital. Leia and Anya receive a HALO award for saving the universe from zombies. That’s fake. And someone on imdb confirmed that the whole sav-bone cancer thing is fake. Vanessa? You’re just trying to start stuff, so please leave me alone.

Also in the movie, Fiona and Holly J. Develop a rivalry over Holly J.’s summer internship, hence confirming that (part!) of the wiki’s movie ‘spoilers COULD be true!
Those old Spolly J. & Holly J. with Nick Cannon were promos for Teennick, not for Season 9. And I think the ‘I Can’t Trust You Anymore’ Line is in reference to Sav’s parents, due to the fact that him and Anya are in love and his parents didn’t announce WHEN his ‘wife’ was coming. The ‘i did something really stupid last night’ is probably in reference to Anya dumping Sav after his wife shows up. They make up and have sex. The ‘oh my god’ is probably Jenna when she says she loves KC, and KC says he’s leaving her for Clare because he still loves her, but Jenna won’t give up, hence *keep on loving you*
