I think part of the advantage in S9 as far as plots go, so far everything has had a little bit of pre-ep buildup. Holly J and Declan had that meeting during Declan’s time with Jane, where there was some sign she liked him. Then it was dropped due to Jane cheating on Spinner with him.

The LARPing subplot with Anya and Sav was prepped in previous episodes, there was a LARPing advert on the school light board outside and Anya was told to get some non-Sav hobbies.

We’ve had a lot of minor build on the whole Clare KC Jenna angle, Fiona and Riley had a similar build. In the case of Riley it’s been answered, however we need to see where this all leads for Fiona (I’m optimistic… except for the fact that the remaining unattached guys are Peter, Connor, and Dave. Two of them seem unlikely to be paired with Fiona… and I dislike Peter so much.)

This design for the episodes certain isn’t disappointing me at all.

I afraid this is my favorite episode so far this season (I’m sorry to betray you Riley!!!) Declan and Holly J. and my favorite episode on Degrassi right now (maybe until Riley gets himself a boyfriend!!) I was thinking that they would have started a secret relationship like what always happens on Degrassi (*cough* Peter). I’m proud Holly J. wasn’t up for that!
I loved all the expressions Declan had this episode and the one before! I never expected Declan was the type to listen to whatever his mom said but looks like that’s over!
Now that Declan has his drama and romance i can’t wait to see what happens with Fiona. Whe she was with Riley she seemed more like a victim pulled into Riley’s troubles. But we’ll see if she has any real drama potential later.
